but really did you show your scientist of a mother the study bomb eshlow dropped?
Yes.
This is what happened.
1) No. It's not what I learned in pharmacy school.
2) Meh, that is a lot of shit.
3) No I talked to a doctor and he said it's terrible.
4) No, that's a lot of studies.
5) I forgot what whole milk was like, so no.
Also cba to fill out the fitocracy thing lol.
TBH the best answer you can give to your mom that she can't really fight against is what did she breast feed you with? Whole milk or Skim milk? You were fed whole milk probably unless she had a deficiency that didn't let her lactate properly. It provides the highest amount of nutrients that your body needs, i dunno why she has such a hard time figuring that out =/.
But I'll get fat.
And they taught her that whole milk was bad in 1984.
I can't find that echlow nuke of whole milk information now :/ Do any of you guys have it saved?

Just got back from my first day at the gym. Wow, I suck. I had some pretty unimpressive numbers. I guess it's to be expected, I'm a really skinny guy and I've never worked out before. Still, it's kinda embarrassing to post these. 65 pound bench press, and even then my arms were shaking a little when doing it. 70 pound deadlift with a fixed barbell. I felt like I could've gone even higher on this but I didn't want to max out, since the guide says to start below your max. Still it was pretty heavy and I felt it afterwards. My form on the bench press and the deadlift was pretty good, I felt, and I was doing similar to videos on youtube.
The squat... oh geez I feel bad about this one. I used an empty 45 pound bar for this and was struggling with my form. I think I need to watch more videos, as I could probably go higher if I was using proper form. I couldn't seem to get my knees to be parallel with the ground with a weight. Clearly I need more practice on the form since that's a pretty pathetic amount. To be honest I could probably do 70 pounds on a squat, I felt like I could hold more, I just had bad form.
Ultimately I'm glad you guys told me to go out and get a gym membership, though.
also did clean + front squat + jerk. My jerk is still sloppy, need to use higher weights. Nationals is in 7 weeks so hopefully I can go!
looked so clean! whats the purpose of the pause at knee? also grats on becoming top ranked guy on the TL fitocracy group
To show how awesome dimsum's second pull is.
haha thanks, i actually cut my pull on this lift
I'm not too sure what pausing at knee is for, but it helps me focus on staying tight throughout the pull. I especially like pause at knees when just doing snatch/clean pulls.

Don't worry, I just started out too and my numbers are pretty comparable to yours. I haven't posted them yet but I'm going to soon.

wow crazy, personally I'd avoid steroids any day of the week but still got to give anyone props for putting in the work to get that far. Makes sense you are 5 7 dude, I was wondering if you had hollow bones or something .

Video might not be able to do. Could do audio though ^^ Probably will turn into stupid ramble though.
Mom has continued to go on "don't lift too much" rant because my heart doctor said I Shouldn't be pushing things. But he was just saying I shouldn't do anything hardcore where it's forced, so >.>

Yes, Cody drives 2 hours to work, works a construction job, drives 2 hours back then hits the gym for 3-4 hours. And the intensity of his workouts are completely insane. I would be beat after that commute and working a full day but he gets his ass to the gym and puts in serious work, with a bit a help
@froadac -- Since I was 16, but you actually have an advantage over me with this thread, when I first started working out I had no fucking clue what I was doing and just went around doing this and that. It took a while before I met some people who put me on some good routines before the results started to kick in.
They aren't doing anything now. They just held my back inplace while it fused. At some later time if I continue to grow a lot of muscle I'll need to ahve all the muscles in my back recut to remove them :/

Have been lazy. haven't gone to gym yet. I guess I'll go after dinner >.>
