I'm platinum - barely. I won't be playing, but again I do have an account that I would be comfortable letting people borrow to play on NA for the tournament. Seems like the majority of people posting are EU, so it should be helpful. I've also got my guest passes... somewhere.

Should be able to lift at my old high school tonight. If not, I'll just play basketball for a bit. Either way I'm going to get -something- done tonight. The contact person for access to that university gym is proving to be remarkably unreliable... Somehow I'm not surprised. o_o

try it 3 times, make sure to eat and sleep exceptionally well. if after 3rd try you still can't hit your reps, reset.
ss wiki recommends a 10% reset i believe, but honestly that doesn't work for low weights. reset 2 weeks' worth.

C+ BW, played less than 10 games of SC2 lol...

Man, I had the weirdest workout today. Firstly, I noticed last week at the end of my workout I got a splitting headache. It hurt so bad and so suddenly that I wasn't sure if it was a real headache or if I had pulled something in my neck somehow.

Anyway I go to squat 200lb 3x5 today. I actually crushed my first two sets. Like they felt fucking great. I'd been struggling with squats all last week due to poor sleep and nutrition but today I was definitely prepared and really came ready to work. But after my second set I got that splitting headache again. I didn't feel dizzy. But it was definitely just a headache, and a bad one. So I waited and walked around for a longer time than usual before banging out my last set of squats. I probably didn't quite go parallel on my last 2 because I was more focused on my head not popping.

As far as I can guess, I am somehow holding my breath wrong. Or holding it too hard or something. But it doesn't feel like I am doing it wrong until I very very suddenly get a headache. And there's no real dizziness or anything, just headache.

So I was pretty pissed. I took a long break and decided to bench anyway. Took it easy at first but eventually felt good enough to do my work sets. Then I deadlifted. Headache didn't really return which was odd tbh cus I thought if anything would do it it'd be deadlifts.

I was really pissed though because I failed my 4th pull twice until I switched to alternate grip style to finish up pulls 4 and 5.

All in all I am vexed because my squats felt fucking super good except for random onset of headache. Despite struggling with a 135lb bench for a while I also feel like I pushed 140lbs with relative ease. Deadlifts pissed me off though. Don't know what to say about that.

edit:/ on a feel-good note though, I have been laddering more recently with my main race instead of my horrible off-race Zerg. So I'll be shooting back up the ladder and getting practice if I make the teamleague roster!! :D

My legs are growing much more than my torso. Appearance wise that's not optimal, but good strength gains. Time to stick with SS and upper body will grow as well.

Just got back from a gig, and i have to be up in like 5 hours for my workout day. Feeling quite ftigued all day today, and I had 4 beers and a shitty takeaway. This should be fun...
The riverbed, dried-up, half full of leaves. Us, listening to a river in the trees.

benched what I failed to last friday, deadlifted same.

Hopefully tomorrow I can bench 10 more pounds and a new deadlift record (end of current cycle)
Quite sure about the deadlift, not so much about bench

just switch to sc2 for a couple days you'll be masters within 36 hours

Switch to SC2 for a week. Learn some builds, watch a few games. You can get high diamond purely off mechanics, if you learn a few builds you'll be masters. I play a game every two weeks or so, and even my D+ mechanics keep me mid plat.

You're squatting more than you're doing anything else, and you're doing so yes the upper body will grow more slowly. It's really a lot easier to grow the legs regardless of what you're doing, but SS gets a bad rap for taking advantage of that. If you don't like the way you're developing though, you could try adding dips (nothing better for the shoulders, great assistance for the chest) and chinups (between rows, deadlift, and these, your back is gonna be ballin'.) to the program. You're also already doing rows rather than powercleans, correct?

At that point your quads are a) manly enough to weather the elements without said jeans and b) look awesome enough to wear they shouldn't be hidden by jeans so girls can fawn over them.

also: I get more and more proud at the amount of "eh just did some 350 pound deadlifts today" that appear ever increasingly. WE'RE SO STRONG IT HURTS

Had a good workout today, outside of some random guy telling me that my squats are completely wrong and i should be looking right into the ceiling. But my squats felt awesome and i did them with no problem, so i think that guy can bug off ^^.

People are going to give you shit no matter where you go, so the best thing to do is not listen to it unless you're sure that person knows what he's talking about. Being ripped, a personal trainer, or having spent 20 years in the gym are not by any stretch of the imagination valid qualifications for this, so if you're really worried about your form, just post a video here and we'll help you out with it! Also, for Starting Strength people, Mark Rippetoe is willing to comment on your form if you post a video of yourself up on his forums. It takes some bravery to do this because Rippetoe is Rippetoe, but it's really a good opportunity for a look at your form.

Also, I kinda got ripped there for being too thin and worrying about my squat. They told me that the best thing I could do for my squat is gain 30-40 pounds, but ... yeah, maybe later.

Dont understand how some of you reach those weights on Squat and DL. Been stalled at 185 lbs for 2 weeks more or less @3x8 reps. Going higher my squat form suffers (either I cant go low enough or knee goes past toes), If I go higher for DL grip fails or I struggle to keep my back straight.
