That's really all there is to it. Well not everyone exercises (guilty ><) and not everyone eats as little/much food as you do, or the same type of food. With some foods, you need to exercise more, and so on. My health goal (though I haven't been participating in the thread) is simply to eat breakfast every day. I don't eat enough food. Usually I only eat one or two meals a day, excluding snacks. I used to never eat breakfast, but I've discovered a cereal I love. One time I was eating so little that I got 3 or 4 inches taller and still lost 15 pounds or so. For reference, I'll be 17 in July, I'm 6' even, and I (think) I weigh 155 pounds, probably less. replace cereals with bacon and scrambled eggs (or, if you are a real man, a steak!) Ew, no, bacon's nasty, and I can't prepare scrambled eggs to save my life. WHAT how can you say that about bacon! Ridiculous.... Also uhh... scrambled eggs... turn on burners, break eggs, stir them while they're cooking for 3 minutes, done.

You just do it, just be careful to not use too much heat. I also struggled alot with eating breakfast some years ago and you just have to make it a habit ![]()

Form is improving, but obviously not as much as it could be since the weight is getting heavy for me. My cues right now are shoulders at the bar, chest up, push hips forward, scrape my shins. Squat 245 3x5 (form reset going well, still need to go a bit deeper and focus on getting hamstrings) Bench 190 4-4-2 (fail) pullup 4-2

That tends to mean inadequate warmup. Your first rep should be relatively the easiest of the day if you warmed up correctly. Sometimes my first set is the hardest of the day and that means I did not warm up correctly..... because after the first set my body was "more warmed up" to perform the second set easier. Understand? So focus on improving your warmup to get the blood flowing a bit more but not exhaust yourself. On May 20 2011 13:19 Froadac wrote: OK, thanks for the heads up. I mean deadlift has been a WALK IN THE PARK for me so far. I was sort of screwing around and did 125 x 1 x 1 without too awful much difficulty. i'm getting close to not being able to do squats/press/bench. Rows are still easy, as is deadlift. Squats surprise me: I keep on getting better and better. But bench and squats frustrate me. Also I hate that we're using both pounds and kilos ![]() I'm learning my legs are much stronger than my upper body. What I get for only playing soccer (football for the real people out there). If one/two of them is really easy make 10 lbs jumps that's fine. Resetting wouldn't be too bad to be honest. Once the weights are starting to get higher make sure you warm up for your sets right.

Is it also possible that he's doing the 1st one with perfect form, and his perfect form gradually degenerates over the five reps, causing them to be "easier"?

I'd pin it on bad warmup since when you get tired and your form starts to slide the lift doesn't get easier, just uglier. At least that is my experience on deadlift form.

Just hang out/walk around? I either a) stare at the ladies and make them feel uncomfortable, b) laugh at people for doing stupid exercises like curlz or c) get pissed off at people for spouting bullshit in my gym! todays highlight: an older gentleman starts talking to this other guy who was doing biceps curlz in the middle of his exercise (like, wtf! I would have totally kicked this guys ass for this alone) and tells him that he has to exhale during the exercise or he wont be able to generate as much force... genius On May 21 2011 06:54 Lemonwalrus wrote: I think he may have thought you injured something and didn't know if you were capable of lifting anything right away again.
