Good invites, glad to see the expansion. However, would be really nice to see an element of qualification or at least chance for other teams like Infinity Seven, Mono, etc to get into this. I think after many seasons of stable performances in things like ESEA, at least iS deserves an invite. Go Go Colin..contact them.

As a suggestion, take the under performing teams from last season..throw them in with a few others that apply and have an open qualifier. Make everyone happy.

Looks really good but I still think there should be an open qualifier for more unknown or amateur teams, or just teams not invited (Infinity Seven) to try and get in.

Na'Vi online is very hot'n'cold.

More interested in seeing how good PB is after some time, because in my mind they are yet unproven. They had a good run in online tournaments, but so did Al, so did Quantic, so did Fire(now col).

very nice dota2 lineup, lets see if PB can hold up against teams that just had some serious bootcamping sessions before TI2.
They need to do good here.

The only time they were cold was the month leading up to the international. Didn't they go undefeated in the online portion of both star series, and win the first defense? I'm pretty sure they were the best team in the world both online and at lan.

I never said they weren't the best team online. But people saying they will destroy everyone hasn't been watching them play a lot online. They've also had several periods where they don't dominate. "pick Death Prophet, beat Na'Vi," don't remember that?

I'd probably favor Col over Na'Vi (1-1 in group, plus col will be taking this much more seriously), but we'll have to see what they show up like.

EG's production and casters are top notch, the games are usually great! Good selection of teams, it's nice that it's not a korean team oriented tournament that would also cause be shedulling for everybody!

It's going to be a great season! Thanks EG

Normally not a huge EG fan but this tournament, some great dota articles and great play vs iG in the International making me become one!

Great invites, will watch for sure! Will you be able to purchase in-game ticket in Dota2? Will probably buy one so I don't have to look for VoD etc since I prolly can't watch live.

Will it be recorded for later viewing? I'm guessing yes but just want to confirm. 2PM EDT is a little awkward for me atm.

I was worried about the status of this season of the MCSL and am tickled pink that we'll be seeing it again. Out of curiosity, are iNcontrol and Azael going to be casting every match? I hope so!

Note: One D2L team may be replaced due to unforeseen circumstances. A replacement will be decided upon before the league starts Week 1 on Monday.

I have to wonder if "unforeseen circumstances" that "one team" could be "replaced" is Maelk retiring and this tournament is just a stage for PB to prove themselves and become the NEW Evil Geniuses.

Mouz could be disbanding or even mTw.

Sweet! I was worried EG wasn't going to put on another one. And every single SC2 team added looks like a team I'd like to watch. Nice.

LOL PotM bottom/Quantic over team like Darer... Americlapian nationalism is strong I see?
Also as much as I dislike mtw the rumors bout them disbanding are highly exagerated. Synderen leaving the team will mean that they will actually be able to win a mid lane(!!!) and have a player who wont feed on purpose, so he wont be forced into a support role(if the other rumors are true). MTW will just get a real solo mid and profit.

I would pick PotM Bottom and Quantic every day over Darer. Darer hasn't been playing well at all for a good bit. PotM Bottom has been putting up good results in the past 2ish months. And Quantic and Darer are pretty much a wash.

And of course their will be more NA teams. Its a tournament hosted by an NA team with NA sponsors.

Facts are: Darer is the 2nd strongest CIS team, behind Na'Vi and the 5th strongest in the NA+CIS+Western Europe, behind Navi,CLG,EG and col. MTW fans can make a case for mtw sharing 5/6 with Darer and even being better than Darer and they might be correct in doing so, however I personally think mtw are overrated.7th is mouz. Check the link I provided for proofs of the facts. PB and Q over any team who has attended TI2 is a joke.

Na'Vi online is very hot'n'cold.

More interested in seeing how good PB is after some time, because in my mind they are yet unproven. They had a good run in online tournaments, but so did Al, so did Quantic, so did Fire(now col).

Knowing the players from their previous game (HoN) they'll collapse and burn after flaming each other to death.

Although Sney still had a bedtime when I was in the scene.

so posting the TI2 results in which Darer got last in their group and then beat aL, a team that has since disbanded, in a bo1 somehow makes them the 5th best team outside of China? Ummm no.

You basically base your whole argument on one win against AL in a tournament, where they had three months to prepare, to put them over Mouz, who played with a stand in and knew of their participation one day before the start.

I´m sure my counter argument seems weak in comparision, but I looked into the tournament results before the TI. In the following tourneys Mouz placed at least 3rd and every time above Darer:

Online:
- The Defense II
- 2nd and 3rd Gosuleague
- Pro Dota World League

Lan:
- DH Summer
- Starladder Finals

Darer does not deserve a place over any of the teams on that list. They've been given too many chances.

As for which team has problems. Really it could be tons of them, the international made it so any team which may have disbanded or swapped players months ago stuck together. There's been talk of internal problems at quantic/mtw/mouz, and of course Maelk maybe leaving (I find unlikely if they're hosting the tournament before announcing replacement). I saw some talk from Na'Vi about EG picking up Korok.

Could be anything, who knows.

Wow, the fanboyism is really strong in this one. Darer has a shitload of money and an Artstyle that's been figured out by pretty much everyone. That's it. Goblak and Funnik are laughable if you compare them to any other player in this tournament. Stomping a disbanding aL with a cheesy ck + wisp combo in a bo1 doesn't mean shit. I honestly wish that G would leave them, find a decent team and kill them all again. PB and mouz both have more talent and team chemistry than Darer, i just hope they'll prove it today. As for mTw, they beat freakin navi time and time again and won dreamhack, nuff said. Mark my words, it won't be long until Artstyle's reputation fuel runs out and the Darer management starts asking for results in exchange for the ridiculous money they must be paying him. As for the tournament itself, i admit i'm not the biggest EG fan but hat's off to you for making this happen. $10k is more than decent prize money for a Dota2 online tourney. Also, to the guy that doesn't like the PB logo... wtf, taste? that's the best logo i've seen in esports, mb ROOT comes close. Now if you'll excuse me, i gotta buy my ticket. Thank you again EG for cutting idra's lunch money this week and making this happen <3. joking, joking, pls don't ban me!

Honestly it's not a good time for them to have this league, especially since it's their first.

Doing it in 2-3 weeks would have been much smarter. Because I'm guessing Na'Vi won't be the only people not playing.
