My gues is that the listed countries are the ones in Europe that allienware is officialy present in. Ex. they have alienwares distibutors, support etc for thoes countries. Its a marketing event for them. Why should they advertise a products in the country they dont sell theirs products to?

In many countries there´s a certain threshold on which one can earn money or valuable items in a competition. After that it´s either illegal or costs a ton of taxes.
Blizzard always limits themselves to the countries that have laws allowing them to do it. That´s why the Danish people can´t use recruit a friend with WoW, as due to Danish law it is an unfair advantage i.e. gambling.

This is gonna be my first tournament - really exciting

@PET, no, that are miss understanding rules. Games like StarCraft, Quake3, Counter-Strike and any other games where you DON'T pay any fee to join the competitions or the games you pay only once to buy them, are NOT cosiderate gamblings.
Games like WoW and any other games where you pay every week/month and so on are in the same "domain" as gambling and are not "supported" for some countries do to laws, BUT, even then they are not illegal.

Yeah, that kind of sketched me out a bit as well. Hopefully (I guess) none of the participants become super-gosu pros known throughout every household around the globe within the next 5 years, or else they might regret their decision.
Will this tournament be streamed at all?

All that is saying is that the tournament winner can be identified as being the winner of the specific tournament in any media published for up to five years without paying royalties. It's a perfectly normal thing to do and shouldn't be a negative factor for anyone.

It's sad to see so few countries which can enter in this contest.

Can I enter the tournament just for the sake of playing it ?
