So far my daughter is working on releasing buttons for Wii bowling but she's absolutely nailing the Mii recognition. Always pumped when her Mii is up.

Always pumped when her Mii is up. My guy doesn't really care about video games all that much because I suppose I haven't really exposed him to any. He likes to play games on the iPad but that's about it. I might be failing as a father guys but I guess when I barely play video games anymore either....

I would say developmentally it's probably a fantastic thing you're not having him play a lot of video games. As wonderful as they can be I think it's easy to lose the ability for wonder and imagination of real life. Really I try not to be playing video games when she's up and interacting with me but it happens occasionally. She usually just points and asks "What's that?" at the Heroes loading screen and then goes and plays with toys. So story time, listening to Stromae in the car with her (she loves listening to songs with dad. She like August Burns Red etc. which I think is awesome and hilarious) and the song is called Peace and Violence. Chorus repeats the title multiple time and she keeps asking what's that daddy what's that. She does that from time to time and I have to guess what she's asking about. I ask her "You want to know what peace and violence are?" "Yeah." plays with baby doll in car seat "Uhhhhhh. Ok. Peace is when no one is getting hurt and violence is when people are getting hurt" (question was harder than expected )"oh. yeah. baby hates violence" "did you just say baby hates violence" "yeah" "You're saying baby doesn't like violence" "yeah" o.O Probably just one of those times she's just saying things and not really getting it but was kinda surreal.

Watching both my youngest siblings grow up while being old enough myself to start understanding the world, little kids definitely catch on to a lot more stuff than expected.

Agreed, it was more a disclaimer of Hey I don't think everything my child does is genius. But she is darn smart ![]()

Not a big deal, there are unmarked spaces I can park in. It's clear where this person's priorities are lol
