Like atm I don't know whether I'm going to drop like €50-€75 or €100-€150. I mean, you get used to the sound of headphones as long as it's not pure shit and has random noise. The only requirement I have is detachable cable. I see some Philips and Sennheiser (439's) in the lower price range, higher up I'm looking at the Audio Technica M50X. Anyone know whether it's worth it in the long run?

Getting a headset/headphones for my PC was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I used to always have nice speakers with a sub, but living in an apartment building I'd rarely get the chance to crank it up. Also my cat always ate through the cables eventually. The little bastard always knows which cable is the music cable. Not only is the sound quality better because there's less space for the sound waves to get distorted. It also made it easier to determine which direction footsteps are coming from in CS GO. Anyway, Sennheiser has a really good reputation. I'd suggest looking into them first.

Anyone know whether it's worth it in the long run? personally I think it's worth it up to a certain point. Seinheisser's great if you want open headphones. I'm probably going to get myself some audio technica's at some point because I prefer closed. i have like a 50-60 dollar pair of seinheisser's atm and their okay but I think it's better to go slightly higher cost wise. another thing to think about is your sound card. If your just using Mobo sound not sure how beneficial they'll be. (a note. I don't have any expensive headphones except an old pair of astro A30's that are good but I don't really use anymore since I got a mini-hifi system for my room. also my soundcard's probably a little bit overkill) not sure if anyone's interested but best buy's offering a 40" LED tv with an xboxone for 500 dollars. pretty great deal
