I dont want to know (or well I kinda do) how many chemistry students cook their own meth. When I studied 2 got busted, I know one that didn't and the police found a meth lab in an abandoned underground wing in the chem department. lol

So, right now I'm in a pretty emotional and frustrated state. Something is wrong with the ulnar nerve in my left arm. My pinky and ring finger have been numb since the beginning of last month. Of course this happens after I get promoted and no longer qualify for medicare and my healthcare through benefits just kicked in today. I have visibly atrophy in my hand, which may be permanent, and it hurts like hell.

My dad had a blood cyst or something that grew on his wrist and blocked nerves to his hand. You could have something similar? Maybe a fysiotherapist can help you here, will cost you way less than an MRI.. They are masters of the musculo-skeletal-nervous system.

Well, I'm not a doctor but I do have a biomedical background (only till bachelor's), so I know a thing or 2 about anatomy and physiology.
It can basically be 3 things:
Either something is growing and pushing against it.
Either you have a genetic disorder which causes peripheral atrophy, with your ulnar nerve as the onset event.
Or there's some weird disconnect with your central nervous system and your peripheral nervous system (specifically st the ulnar nerve), through trauma or a lesion of some kind (a pathology of some kind)

Now two and three seem to be the most rare and two could potentially be traced back to the family.
If no blockage can be found by a fysiotherapist in your arm I'd see an actual neurologist.

But again, I'm not a doctor so don't take anything I said seriously, like, at all. I just like to spitball some scenario's which seem plausible by me.. If you find this insensitive, I apologize.

Wrist problems suckkkk. I've had an on/off problem with my median nerve. On the bad weeks its almost unbearable to do anything with my right hand.

It’s almost certainly ulnar nerve entrapment and you need to go see someone to figure out what type so they can tell you how to treat it. I’d love to be more helpful but there’s a bunch of different ways it can come about that will vary what treatment options there are.

I tried to set something up yesterday, since my benefits don't get put into the system until wednesday, but I could back-bill everything since when I submitted them. Problem is I can't know who is in network unless I'm in the system and can check the site -or- I talk to my doctor's office, which doesn't open again until Monday.

So right now I've got no paddle.

After another round of "Uh, talk to this person." I have been able to register on the provider's site, my doctor is in network, and I have to wait until tomorrow to make an appointment because the office is closed.

Yeah, administration shit is super annoying.
Right now at work I have to brush off a shit ton of customers that brought in samples ages ago and want to see results, but can't because we send them out and that other company got fucked and are now themselves sending everything they get from everyone out and they try to get everything in order and try to get some kind of grip on the situation, but it's completely falling flat. I'm feeling for the people I have to harass every day asking for updates on results.

The chain is basically 4 to 5 people, with 4 different infrastructures involved and no one can give any substantiated feedback to the guy that actually wants his stuff. But I'm the guy that deals with the customer, so in the end I'll get all the blame if they decide they don't want to be our customer any more.
