I'd guess I've met a few others but it's not clear. also on a side note people get mad about using peoples preferred pronouns for literally no reason. It takes 10 seconds and doesn't affect you in any way

When you poor you don't have time to worry about that shit, you just working 80 hrs a week to put a roof over your head with food on the table. In those circumstances even if you gender disphoric as fuck like chances are you worried about other things to devote the resources and time to an identity crisis. Even with free Medicare the opportunity costs of getting diagnosed are unreal. Trans people are more likely to be poor and victims of crime or human trafficking than non trans folk. It's the opposite of how you are thinking, though you might be forgetting that most trans folk don't undergo gender reassignment surgery, whether for financial or personal reasons. The wealthy ones tend to though. Trans folk have a higher likelihood of turning to illegal sex work, and dealing with that whole mess of a cycle as well. I had the same experience until recently. My cousin hasn't officially came out yet, but my Aunt let my mom know what was going on because she wanted some help/advice. I have absolutely no issues with it, but it's definitely weird to think about it happening in my family when it's something I've really only seen on TV ![]() Once my cousin comes out it might be kinda awkward but I'd guess that's fairly common right?
