What do you call silence? Divine Spirit + Inner Fire combo with the undercosted guys you need to silence first? I play that without the silence package, and more as a tempo deck (play removal, buff health and heal to remove the board, get a 20/20 when you get the time as a finisher). I don't have Lyra but it did decently for the "imma get to rank 15 on the 20th then forget about ranked aside from daily rogue quests" bracket I hover in. If you just want a fun deck it's fine, plus... well, iirc it runs auctioneer. Maybe I'm just an auctioneer guy.
Also I found my MTG Nemesis: Liliana. First pick it + Show Spoiler +pack also had foil Cut // Ribbons, Stir the Sands, Shefet Monitor, Gustwalker... it was a crazy pack and it annoyed me because I knew someone on my left would think "it's crazy to get such a first-pickable uncommon so late!" and move into B—which happened, especially after his P1P1 Neheb. They switched near the end of the pack (dude arrived late, and store clerk was the one drafting so not being held up suited him better), he didn't move into W despite receiving plenty of bomby stuff early pack 2 and he cut me off some black; he ended up playing 4 rares or something and end up 2nd). , guy to my right first picks Never // Return and goes zombie. Draft almost trainwrecks 'cause I see nothing for cycling but people force me into UB with their picks (after taking the good U cards 'cause they opened them then moved elsewhere ><). Meanwhile pack 2 I'm passing a ton of W 'cause I know I won't get enough in a pack (Trial of Solidarity pick 4, Cast Out pick 5, there's a Start // Finish and a Gustwalker at some point), thinking "if I face my neighbour I'll lose." I end up facing him round 2, losing game 1 to Trial of Solidarity (3x Tresspasser's Curse on board doesn't mean shit when you flood and draw only 2 creatures, so he hits you with Start's 1/1 tokens till you're in lethal range), winning game 2 'cause he keeps a 2-lander and scoops after missing the 3rd land twice, and losing game 3 because he drops the sided in Vizier or Remedies turn 4 (blanks all my non-bounce removal) then kills Liliana turn 5 with Never he had in his starting hand. Again when you flood and play few creatures Fanbearer crushes you, as does Return since it means I can't even use my embalm creatures, and Finish removes another.
Still finished 2-1, but 3rd place so I miss Lili again. There's a curse on me. She's too expensive now for me to buy it, but she'd easily slot in a casual EDH deck I'd build to go with the group so I'd be happy to grab one...
(Deck was pretty janky, with 11-12 creatures including Archfiend, Cryptic Serpent, Angler Drake, and only 5 that cost 3 or less. 3x Tresspasser's Curse, 2 counterspells, Winds of Rebuke, Galestrike, 2x Splendid Agony, B Cartouche, basically trying to survive early while slamming Liliana or curses and bouncing stuff as a way to gain life and not die. Every time I played Liliana, her + milled the cartouche. I flooded in around half my games, including all of round 3, which I somehow won against RW aggro.)

Yeah, I guess the proper priest counter vs jade is more just running the inner fire package in general since druids are bad at dealing with big dudes and you can go nuts with inner fire before the jades really accumulate.
|
I don't think Jade druid can beat Secret Mage and that's a pretty rampant deck right now. Isn't elemental stuff Shaman advantaged too? It plays buffed up things and has the "built-in 2-for-1" discover theme of most non-aggro decks in this format.

I don't, but neither do a lot of other people in this thread lol.

I only play on the PBE where I can goof around with the new stuff for free. It's not like I actually want to play multiplayer games with people anyway.

Maybe you have it made.
I work with a guy who lives with his mom at 58 and never moved out. Weird guy (legit I wouldn't be surprised if he was on to catch a predator or some shit one day... he creeps me out), but when his mom dies he has a giant house, a fat retirement account, and has spent years buying "performance cars." Quotations because they are all Automatics and that's just.... yuck. Kills the driving experience, imo. 30 year old manual Honda Civic's feel peppier than brand new automatic civics. The lack of pedal response kills driving for me.
Also why I don't drive a golf. That reliability so hot, but that fly-by-wire thing just kills me.

I don't understand why people would ever want to drive a manual.
Granted, I have never driven a manual. But I would also never want to.

Ignorance is bliss.
I've only tried it in the back woods with a 30 year old Geo so I'm remaining pretty ignorant. Also having a manual complicates any kind of driving/car sharing.

You've seen right through the mystery I presented... The pool of people you can split driving road trips or that can borrow your car is much smaller. Anyone with a license can drive an automatic. But yes you're right, if everyone knew manual the complication would be gone.

I think this may be true. Google it or something? I think there may have been something on reddit...?

It's a far more engaging driving experience. I feel way more in control and in tune with what my car is doing and how I need to control it if certain things happen on the road.
Idk, it's the same reason I refuse to use cruise control.
