However, part of it has to do with the fact that by the time I'm done with the meal I don't feel comfortable in the restaurant anymore. I often could get up, walk across the street, and eat the same exact thing but enjoy it more.

I5 4670k at base clock has handled everything except csgo streaming fine. For csgo I need to cap frame rate or you drop quite a lot of frames.
Haven't tried streaming many AAA games though.
My bottleneck has always been other tl people having bandwidth issues to twitch forcing me onto lower bitrates

Need to be partnered or a lot of viewers for that. Unless you're being facetious then carry on.
Just stream in 720p wave.

I may end up just saying fuck it and splurging a little more. Considering my top-of-mid-end Pc at the time (and bottom of mid end gpu) lasted me this long without upgrading anything in between, getting one that's much higher end might mean I can go longer and even upgrade minimally.
I don't even know why I consider the streaming part realistically though; it's not like the general TL audience is anywhere near what it was years ago. It's like all the research I did into overclocking with my last pc, when I never ended up doing anything with it (the reason I'm not getting the K series this time).
I have all of these intentions and they all just end up going to waste. I probably should just get the i5 but I know myself and I bet I'll end up with the i7.

If your old machine has a decent CPU maybe a capture card double PC setup could work?
Personally I'd splurge a bit on the CPU, it always pays out in the end.

I was thinking about reviving the Scip reading stream though. I found an absolutely hilarious book that I think a lot of people could enjoy.

And here I thought your discussion of new computers meant you might also be able to USE it.
Oh, but what I fool I was.

I'm the bigger fool spending 1.5k on something I can't even use

it's cool it's not like you have kids or a wife you could otherwise spend your money on

I mean it's not like there's this beautiful paper crack that is far better anyway.

I'm not sure people think that way after seeing the Invocations' borders.

Expecting standard products to be good outside of limited in 2017. Please Alaric!?

I think they're fine honestly. A little wonky and the font can be hard to read but still cool. Good on wizards for attempting something different at least given the group of miserable fucks their fan base is.

My main issue is I can't read what the cards are or type whatsoever. It's not quite as bad as that full art cryptic command, whoever thought that was a good idea shouldn't be in charge of things. Man WOTC seems to repeat a lot of similar mistakes constantly..
edit: Guess I also dislike how much it overshadows some of that awesome looking art. Borders shouldn't really be the focal point of a card imo.

I think it's worse than the full art promos tbh. Full art has a specific purpose of showing off the art. This is just as unreadable as a full art card but the art is still normal size, it's just the borders that take up all the space.

This is a standard product that's gonna have Fling at common. I dunno about good but it's gonna be janky! More seriously, I like that it's a common that provides a lot of reach to the pummeler decks, since energy deck seem to be the majority of what new players in standard play. It's far from tier 1 but still a decently effective budget deck so seeing it get more cheap toys is nice.
Re: invocations, I'd just find them bad if it was wonky border and unredeable (on purpose!) name, but because some arts are just gorgeous (and other mediocre generic CGI, see most counterspells and every one depicting the gods) now I'm sad justice isn't done to them. That Wrath of God art...
