i wasnt hyped about BSG hadnt really heard of it and i didnt think it was like top top quality but no expectations made it good thats the thing about sci fi if you usually have to let some things to enjoy the sci fi.

BSG is only disappointing if you don't like everything past New Caprica. Everything before is fantastic aside from Helo being a dumbass.
Shows that have not yet let me down: new Dr Who and Mushishi. I liked Christopher Eccleston a lot, but David Tennant really kills the crazy Doctor bit.

I like how the best Universe story arc was the one leading to the season that never came. Rush became a more interesting character than Dr "totally not Baltar".

Rush best character, cuz homage to the best prog-rock band of all time.
You have to remember with BSG that the writers strike happened during season 3, which is why season 3 is real awkward.
Seasons 1, 2 and 4 are pretty much some of the best TV I've ever seen.
When I worked for the government I got to go to a Navy conference where they invited the writers of BSG seasons 1 & 2 and got a bunch of admirals to talk about how BSG was the best portrayal of military operational procedure and decorum that had ever been on TV. Was really cool.
Pity that SyFy is just trying to tank at this point. Stargate, Eureka, Alphas, and now Warehouse all gone. After the final (short!) season of WH13 I'm taking it off of my cable package. Even Caprica had potential, but they killed that off right quick.
BBC best Sci Fi channel nowadays. Was Fox, but then Fringe ended.
