Seasons 1, 2 and 4 are pretty much some of the best TV I've ever seen. When I worked for the government I got to go to a Navy conference where they invited the writers of BSG seasons 1 & 2 and got a bunch of admirals to talk about how BSG was the best portrayal of military operational procedure and decorum that had ever been on TV. Was really cool. God, season 3 was awful. Season 1 was decent, seasons 2 and 4 were meh (imo).

Best show I've ever seen, though the last season of Breaking Bad is probably going to surpass that for me (holy shit Sunday's episode). WHERE'S WALLACE NEO?

There was so much potential for there to be a season where Walter gets his brain matter back and just goes fucking nuts (John Noble is a badass) but it never quite happened. Overall pretty decent show, a little too much disconnect in between seasons and it was pretty obvious when ideas were tacked on by the writers, but still a better job than the mega fucking disappointment that was Lost post-season 3. What a shitshow THAT show became.

Also, Vampire Diaries > everything else on tv. COME AT ME.

S4 was just kinda wonky, but still interesting with the parallel dimensions. The last season was good, I just felt like the time jump was kinda forced, and the Observers were way less cool than they were when they were just mysterious dudes. Also Walking Dead has potential to be the new best thing on TV as long as the new season doesn't follow in S2's footsteps.

Also, Vampire Diaries > everything else on tv. COME AT ME. I watched the first season of lost on DVD in only a few sessions. I finished the last episode and was like... well... that's that. this isn't going anywhere. they're just making shit up as they go along. Was never tempted to watch another episode. I recognized the signs because I tried to run a D&D campaign that way. it was a total disaster. I was so inept I got politely kicked out of the group, basically. I remember reading sometime before the show concluded that the creators were saying "we thought out everything" and it was all going to tie together, and I thought to myself, lol, this is not gonna turn out well.

I wasn't really sure where they were going to go after S1 ended but damn they kept it interesting. ALSO TV VIEWERS Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D. (the Marvel Universe show that ties in with the movies) starts on Tuesdays. The amount of hype is palpable and funky.

All I know about Firefly is it was a short lived TV series. On the topic of TV: Community and Parks and Rec are two of the worst tv sitcoms I've ever seen. No wonder NBC always gets ripped, a 5 year old could write these character tropes: The overzealous government employee, the overly-manly-man, the lazy womanizer, etc. Hell, even 30 Rock was filled with things like that, but was a much better show because Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin are much better actors than these other shows. On top of that they seem to make the "Family Ties" mistake in all these shows, without recognizing it and then capitalizing like Family Ties eventually did. For those who don't know, Michael J. Fox's character in Family Ties was supposed to be the character that the audience disliked, but was the one that the audience liked the most.

Doctor Who is hit or miss if you don't like British stuff. + Show Spoiler + Friends probably still best TV show of all time, honestly.
