I typed this on my phone while working so sorry for any grammar errors and such. To be fair most people who win the lottery do not turn out any happier than people who lose their legs. For them it's something like they get happy for a while or sad for a while but then their body still produces the same amount of feel happy chemicals and they still use them all in the long run.

It's not the point.
Why did you quit going to therapy though? I don't mean to bait out another post but maybe you can pm. I mean, I feel like in this situation you need to do something. You obviously can't just bottle it up and brood about it.
edit: and yeah gf thing. Jeluz.
Also my parents and my best friend are quite critical about how I live my life as well. To the point of nagging me every possible minute. I tend to hang up on my parents all the time now or I put the phone down and they think I've hung up since I don't respond with an ack every 5 seconds. It's hard to deal with and I think that may be a trigger for setting me up for a string of bad days in my life. It may be the same for you in which case perhaps we both need to deal with the trigger head on.

Also, tbh, I'd consider that a good night. One step forward in a relationship, for a shitty night. #worth. They usually take your license away for speeding and give you a ticket that qualifies you to drive.
You get your license back when you pay the fine or show up to court and get it written off or w/e

heh i went to a show with friends this friday and halfway through the bouncer didn't let me back in from my smoke. i was pretty fucking drunk but i didn't stumble or anything they were just at capacity and being jerks. so i went to a starbucks for an hour and walked around for an hour then got poutine with my friends before heading back to their place and smoking a big ol joint. overall it was a good night but i think being intoxicated made passing the time easier. This has happened before and maybe i should just drink less.

Nothing is as important to you as you think it is when you are thinking about it.

Never have they taken the license. Fucking weird. Though one time, they took a photo, which I thought was like "wtf?"
Also, people saying "man up", they're just trying to give you something to keep going on, it's not something they're poking fun of you with. What do you want your friends to say? Nothing? Just leave you alone in your depressed state? Say "hey, how are you feeling"? What is that suppose to do, as you've said, you just say "oh, I'm tired". "Man up" is just a mantra just to try and spur something inside of you, let it be anger, cuz that's helluva lot better than depression and sadness.

e-cigs don't really do anything to help you quit unless you're intentionally tapering off use and smoking less. They just give you the nicotine you need (in bold because it is a need for you at this point) without completely destroying your lungs with the tar/smoke/whateverthehelltheyputinthosethings

Quit that asap. Stuff is so bad for you

if i could just have an e-cig when i feel like i really need a fix then hopefully it will disconnect from all the times i habitually have one now when i dont precisely NEED one. told myself i would quit by new years... not on track, its not too late but i feel like i have no will to try / terrified of losing my comfort de-stresser

But having an e-cig is a huge enabler for bad habits. With one, you wouldn't have to go outside. You can just sit right where you are, no hassle, and suck down some nicotine.
If you're actually serious about making a change in your life, then fucking do it. When I was a kid, my gymnastics coach would always say "If you truly wanted it, you would have made it happen." Don't make excuses. If it's something you truly want, make it happen. You have a whole forum who can help you along (cuz let's be serious, quitting cigs ain't easy), but you have to be the one to initiate change.

That's cool, just keep in mind that it makes you look like you have no willpower at all. And maybe you don't, I wouldn't know, but if you don't then there's no downside at all.

E cigs solves a lot of that.

And it's expensive. And your mouth is nasty. And it ties you to something that you're obligated to do even if you don't want to anymore or if you can't at that time.
