similarly i wonder if anything is going to happen when rob ford makes his first public appearance since he admitted it. not really the time or place so a good move by him to be at a solemn ceremony first.
EDIT: oh shit its 11:30 just noticed my work didn't do shit for 11:00 aha shit Essentially the idea behind it is that the red poppy 'glorifies war' or something absolutely retarded like that whereas the white poppy is simply a call for peace. People say that buying the red poppy supports our military and enables it, but people seem to have forgotten the idea that its simply a matter of respect and reverence for the dead. There is no glory in those who laid down their lives, only senseless loss, so in my opinion the red poppy is just as much a symbol for peace as any other. yeah and its not like proceeds for the poppy donations go to the military. they go to the veterans. Gotta hate on the people making decisions to go to war not the survivors that are all but forgotten and old as fuck. mind you the Flanders fields poem kinda does tell us to keep fighting the Germans or our fallen soldiers will be zombies. lolwut?
And the prevailing theories lately are that increasing severity in weather patterns are attributable to global warming. I'm not about to go look shit up or cite sources though.

We don't have to, that's science's job, and I remember hearing a comment in passing from a guy in a white coat that global warming was going to cause more frequent and more violent hurricanes.

Well, after a week of pokemon, I finished it just in time for XCOM tomorrow!

and i was just wondering if there was any new evidence or something for the global warming bit. i've heard the theory.
EDIT: mondays without tea would be impossible.

Peace Corps staff gets all those government holidays off but us volunteers don't.

Its not even Canada, its EasternCanada.
If someone in Alberta tried to wear one of those he'd get punched in the throat.
Also, all of Canada gets November 11th off. Its remembrance day.
