Mmmmm, hard for me to say, but the art style is pretty similar to Legends of the Dark Knight (which my friend told me, has the same guy writing both), or a hint of Batman: Gotham Knight series. The story itself (assuming you haven't played through Injustice story mode), is extremely similar to the Justice League: Animated series, Justice Lords episodes. The Justice Lords plot is fantastic imo, as I've also read the Justice League Beyond (futuristic JL, with McGinnis, aged Superman, Warhawk (son of Jon Stewart+Hawkgirl), etc.). YES. The Injustice series is indeed quite good. It's surprising, usually comic tie-ins are horrible, but they really astounded everyone, so much that they moved it up from being a weekly comic with a hodgepodge of artists in terms of priority. Blackest Night is decent: it's really mostly a Lantern thing, though, which isn't a bad thing. Geoff-era GL was some of the best, accessible comics that DC has put out (would generally recommend all the GL stuff from GL: Rebirth onwards, especially Sinestro Corps War). If you want good Elseworlds, Kingdom Come and Red Son are excellent. Kingdom Come especially. Alex Ross da best. | ||

So amazing; literally read it 4 times already. I will check out "Red Son". I'm sure many will disagree with me, but Jon Stewart > Hal Jordan/others. Kind of why I've somewhat ignored GL/Hal Jordan based comics, but this seems too good to pass up on. Also, just read some Batman Earth One last week; soooooooooooooooooo good, especially for the Alfred fans out there. Have got to check out the new issue they just released. | ||
