I mean science doesn't 100% prove anything. You can show beyond reasonable shadow of doubt, but you don't have math proof level of slam dunking a proposition. | ||

With my computer he'd say that even If I took it to a computer repair place and they showed definitively how the fall moved and affected parts to make the screen mess up that still wouldn't show that it caused it. It gets kinda technical as to exactly why he thinks that though. suffice to say that a lot of people (Such as Russel did before he died) still think Hume's claims can't be rejected, or at least that nobody has given a sufficient counterargument to them. of course a lot of people disagree with him on that like Kant. (I'd get into that but its pretty damn confusing without a lot of explanation.) admittedly I should admit that I'm not an exact expert on these things but mainly basing them off of my own readings and what Russel says in History of western philosophy (really great book btw especially how Russel links philosophy with world events and gives really good explanations while avoiding going into too much detail to confuse the reader.) and what my philosophy teacher taught in class. regardless though the screen on my netbook no longer works and i'm forced to hook it up to my tv to get stuff off of it. also anyone know if the new wolfenstein's any good? game informer gave it a 7 and a half but I was wondering if anyone's actually played it | ||

I thought the stuff on Hume was pretty decent though and I don't know enough about the rest of the german idealists to commentate on it. thanks for telling me. | ||
