Yeah, I took a hiatus from arena after GvG launch. Was averaging 5-6 wins and that plummeted after the expansion for whatever reason. Planning on starting again after I buy my last wing.

Also, probably not about that linen life.

Thalnos is rare tech card in shaman since GvG. A common tech card would be Kezan/Healbot.

Oh right I miss Thalnos too. Although for spell power purposes a kobold geo is just fine, can't replace Sylvanas/Alex/Rag that easily.

I only really play Warrior/Warlock so it's not like I'm missing out by not having it. I may craft it for a rogue/freeze deck but just holding out a bit until the dust settles on BRM. Baron/Ysera are pretty cool for warrior which is why I'm waiting.

Control vs Patron is slightly control favoured. Geddon doesn't really lose you the game as if he has a full board of patrons that you can't clear with brawl you screwed anyway.

edit: except when the patron warrior goes all in with zero cards and no bloodrage but you don't draw any of your removal/taunts/brawl so he wins. Sigh sometimes just praying to RNGesus is how you win hearthstone. Not by playing smart.

Patron warrior usually has a field day with control. It does rely on some lucky draws but getting a 4-6 card bloodrage off means that you need to have brawl and all of your removal if you want to edge him out of his mid-game power spike. If both players have good draws I'd actually favor patron by a lot. 2 or 1 mana draw 5 with a full board is pretty stronk.

The issue is Patron doesn't typically pressure in a matchup which gives control time to set up everything he needs and large armour totals. If Patron gets perfect draws with a good emp than yea I think he beats every class in the game atm. Maybe slightly unfavoured vs shaman still I'm not sure. That class is so weird

The reddit poster of the patron warrior to rank 1 talked about his matchup vs control warrior and said that he did switch up to pressure early, so maybe he's more apt to talk about it than me. In general though I agree with you.

That sounds about right. Early pressure to force early removals and keep Control from building up too much armor and drawing their removal out. Nonetheless, too much of Combo Warrior is within weapon range for Warrior, and armor gain makes comboing down control difficult, when you also need to survive large legendaries,
