this actually sort of removes some of the fun of the game tbh.
if everything works, then the game is simply too easy.
also, the article seems to miss the point that in D&D, that you can choose not to min/max, but still have a huge impact in game by making smart choices outside of gameplay (such as combat). The problem with min/maxing in D&D that people have a misconception is, once you get powerful enough, it's always easier to fight your way out. It's like that saying, "if you have a hammer, every problem looks like nails."

They are there to help and if you put some effort in to starting your work, more often than not going to office hours will lead to them helping you with the work AND you actually understanding it. This. This so much it's unreal. Also by going to office hours you get to know your professor better and you create connections. I literally got my job at the university as a research assistant because I went to office hours. It helped that I was a good student, but the professor really liked my personality so he hired me on.
Also I had a serious, if a bit personal question for Soniv. (Anyone can answer though!)
So I understand that you have a Math degree. But how did you transition from university to finding a job? Was it hard? Did you use connections? What did you do? I'm just asking because I'm curious. After this semester I have one more year of university left and I've been thinking about this for a bit.
I think my biggest concern is that I (hopefully irrationally) feel that a Math Degree doesn't offer much compared to say, a Computer Science degree. Like what would a Math Degree give you that a Computer Science degree can't? I don't regret going into Math - indeed I'd do it again - but sometimes I can't help but wonder.
I'm going for a Mathematics Major with a Computer Science Minor AND a Philosophy Minor, if that helps your answer at all.
Soniv if you don't want to answer I understand completely.

Math is one of the easiest degrees to get a job with, because everyone assumes that math majors are just smart and can do anything, which isn't necessarily false - very few undergraduate majors teach you anything directly applicable to a job anyways (there are exceptions, there are always exceptions), and math is fairly malleable to a variety of careers. Anything STEM, finance/banking related, etc.

Too slow and dies to BGH but this card is silly haha + Show Spoiler +
Other new cards + Show Spoiler + Again, Drakonid Crusher would be a lot cooler without BHG...good card in arena though.

Every big thing would be a lot cooler without BGH.

I think the most I had was like maybe 20? and that's including discussion courses and labs... Ironically my math was wrong lol. 3x6 + 2x3 + 1x3 =~ 27 heh I think all courses at my school had 3hrs per course per week. its just that engineers had to take ~6 where most people took ~5 and thats only 15hrs lecture. But we had above average science classes with their labs and tutorials. also I squeezed in a minor in computer science.

I had a single quarter in my junior year where I only had 8 hours of lectures :D, best quarter of my life.

I had so few electives/choices for electives and every course had 3hrs of lecture, also had to take 6 courses almost every semester I lost count of the number of times I just passed out in the engineering lounge late at night instead of going home and coming back for my 8:30 lecture.... mind you I also skipped a lot of class.
I think the fact that my school was one of the smaller ones also contributed to the fact that I couldnt choose which semester to take what in. also so many prerequisite chains.

I'm making a Commander deck revolved around

and was just wondering, if his copy non-token creature's ability allows a 2nd trigger of minions "comes into play". Like, if I play Civic Wayfinder, copy him with Riku in play, original Wayfinder lets me search for a basic land, does the copied one allow me to do it again?
I checked the official Magic sites for ruling about it, but it wasn't clear, which means it probably doesn't copy "comes into play" abilities. Just clarifying for tomorrow. Thanks!

What the hell is this "office hours" thing you guys are all talking about. I don't think we have that over here.
|
They're a specified time where your professor hangs out in their office so students can come ask them questions, get help, give concerns etc.

Generally the module/class/course/lecturer will list times that you can go see them in their office for questions. Generally it's like 12-1 or something when they don't have any work to do. TAs also will have listed hours themselves which may vary from when the lecturer can. It's basically done so the TA/Lecturer don't get swamped with students asking them questions constantly. Most profs I've worked with you can also email to try book a time to discuss something more complicated.

If you copy a creature with a come into play effect. It will get the come into play effect. Yes riku is as busted as you think it is. Look into animar. Same colors, better in almost all situations.

See the problem is that I try to be mean so that I can fit in with you guys (what I mean is that you guys like to tease one another in good fun) so I try and do the same so that I can be accepted. But saying mean things or being mean in general really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. So when I do attempt to make fun of someone, the "Canadian" manifests itself and I end up typing an insult that really doesn't carry a lot of weight. I gotta like, take lessons from Teut or something on how to put people down. Also I have a Heroes of the Storm question. So I like playing "bruisers" in League of Legends quite a bit. So do you guys think I could find happiness in Arthas and his playstyle? My friend recommended him to me.
you don't have to be mean you just have to say what you feel or want to say randomly trying to insult people doesn't really make sense unless you want someone to feel bad
when i post i want someone to feel REKT and everyone else to be like oh that guy got fucking REKT
disclaimer: If you are actually secretly 100% a dick you absolutely want to hide what you really feel and talk about pokemon instead (I'm looking at you moonbear) I don't believe anyone is 100% a dick, though

lol alaric trying to teach people things he sucks at why the fuck does your intention even matter its all what other people read in the end that matters unless you have to explain shit later like in a long winding alaric fashion with brackets everywhere and mumbled apologies hue
