People like to attribute the series' dire situation to Shadow Dragon and Shin Monshou no Nazo, but in fact, it was actually Radiant Dawn's (and Path of Radiance's, to a lesser extent) lackluster sales numbers that actually put the series in jeopardy. It's often overlooked because Western fans of the series tend to rank Radiant Dawn reasonably well, and both Tellius series titles did alright in the West (though not as well as their GBA predecessors). However, both PoR and RD were incredibly unsuccessful in Japan (they were even more poorly received than Shadow Dragon, which says a lot). | ||

It was basically a cash grab to keep the series afloat, which it did manage to do. It actually sold A LOT better than RD (probably due to the West's obsession with Marth thanks to none of the Akaneia titles being released outside Japan before that). | ||

Because I actually enjoyed it. One of the weaker Fire Emblem games for sure, but I still liked it. | ||

Because if we overlap both groups drafting that might not be the best idea. | ||
