I saw that earlier. He read way too far in, the post that I saw (which he linked) didn't talk condescendingly at all. He then mentions hearing the staff at some of the events, but that doesn't reflect the official stance of TL at all, so I have no idea why a public TL apology would be in order. Additionally, pandering to their demographic, which consisted most of Dota 2 players (at least compared to LoL) isn't at all a crime. Who even said they had the money for multiple teams? If TL had to choose LoL or Dota2, at that point Dota 2 was by far the better decision for a staff that was far more invested in it. This criticism that he and Thoorin have been perpetuating for a couple weeks now is massively overblown, and it's not nearly a big a deal as their constant discussion about it would suggest.

Also, elitism between the two games wasn't enable or perpetuated, because the people who believe in that elitism will find anything and use it as a door. TL just sponsored the game they liked more.

But that's just my opinion.

I like Monte, I do. He's a great caster and seemingly a pretty okay duder all around. However, this tweet lacks any real accusations besides some vague notion of enabling "eSports elitism" whatever that is. So without context and some idea of what exactly he's upset about it's just a random snide remark with no substance.

Having looked at the conversation that took place.. Yeah no shit TL has made fun of games. I mean you think we didn't make fun about war3 or dota? It's all generally in good fun. The sites even poked fun at SC2 so it's not like League is some isolated incident.

I mean you can refuse to accept TL and I'll be the first to admit they should of stepped in sooner but they have and no one is laughing at League of Legends now. We eSports now. Deal with it.

OK I saw that Fire Emblem trailer. I can't help but to think that this is going to be like going from FE6 to FE7/8: the graphics and the underlying system is the same, with only minor changes to mechanics.

I really don't think I'll be playing it.
