We have this "card game" called "Black Stories" which are basically a lateral thinking puzzles. The hosts narrates a story which is illogical, just like the story we're talking about. The others ask questions to find out the solution. I use it at seminars for teenagers when the group is small and I want to teach concentration and stuff. | ||

The concept's overall pretty nice though, and as long as people really try to guess it makes for an enjoyable time. harry potter i watched the movies recently to see what all the fuss was about, read a bit of book 2 gave up on it, my mom was reading my and my sister #1 when i was small and she gave up on it too LOL the whole thing is stupid. Theres so much potential for all sorts of cool magic fights and it ends up just being a teenage highschool situation and all the guys who are good at magic end up needing harrys help when he never does anything but get lucky and something something power of friendship and ron and hermione are just there for the falling out/romantic drama. hunger games i thought sounded really cool like naruto forest of death but then i realized it was just a teenage girl fantasy of being popular and everyone loving you for no reason but then everyone gangs up on you and then you win anyway because everyone goes full retard. (hurr durr we have 5 people but we wont help each other climb this tree so we'll just camp here all night what can go wrong, also when our lives are on the line, lets act like dumb teenagers walk around single file making jokes and when we hear a strange noise lets leave the 1 incompetent guy to guard a mountain of supplies and all go to investigate) oh and about scips social experiements you guys are all wrong. This is shit you did subconciously for years but since scip is only recently going to school he just is more self conscious and analytical about things so he chooses what he picks up and that way has more control on the way he is perceived. its the same as self-improving in league, except nobody calls you a psychopath for analyzing mistakes and behaviour and adjusting things and picking things up. The definite objective is to win while in social situations its for people to like you. Like when I was about 12 I read a chess psychology book and it started me early on consciously introspecting and looking at your emotions and seeing where the real root of them are and eliminating the negative ones. It helped a lot for stuff like solo q, but when I post on TL to try to get ragers to try to cnotrol their emotions they act exactly like my sister used to and was all like "I cant help it I cant control my emotions" bullshit. you just dont try hard enough i remember one time going to school my brother went on the same bus dunno what he was doing but i remember he had this badass walk and i guess i probably had a really nerdy walk and later on i developped a badass walk too it actually comes pretty naturally, its like nerdy walking is super repressed trying not to attract attention, while relaxed and efficient walking looks cooler. like if you ever do any hard physical labour and you get tired you notice you start walking like those muscleheads because its just what efficient walking is, but if you are socially nervous you automatically try not to attract attention. And she killed her sister so that same man would go to the funeral obviously staring at the upper left means you are accessing your left brain for memories, and staring upper right you are looking toward your right brain and you're making something up. Supposed to be a sign for lying. I think its a natural thing thats why you can pick it up so easily. I think I just stare off to space (at least as far as i know) but definitely know people who look in all sorts of directions. | ||

it was good back then, I didn't care about the plotholes or about how it doesn't make any sense, because it was just too awesome for me to consider. Also that thing where you look = that part of brain you are using is total bs IIRC. At least I never used to look to the top left before I adopted this gesture, I used to look somewhat downwards. What now, was I using my spinal cord to think? From what I read the only "reliable" (possible) way of detecting lies, other than what the other person said turning out not to be true, was response time. If it's a lie made up in advance, the response time is supposed to be a bit shorter. So that's what I pay attention to when I lie now LOL. Also making sure the other person won't get to know that what I said isn't true. | ||

I don't do that look to the left/right thing at all, but that doesnt mean some people dont do it naturally AND you picked it up just from watching a poker player even though it looks a bit weird and is disadvantageous to your socially in some respects so there must be something behind it theres very little surefire way of telling someone is lying but there are signs and signals and observant people can pick them all up together i think i heard jennifer lawrence says she always knows when someone is lying, I think its just picking up all the little signs all together, after you study people and their reactions all your life | ||
