The second one was ok. The first one was absolutely brilliant. If I recall, the minigames keep continuing for the rest of the game. I'm thinking if you got 3 hours into it and didn't like it, then the game has nothing left to offer to you. And if you didn't like Inside Story, I'd recommend skipping Dream Team, as it has the same vibe going on.

I'll just link you to this well-written LP of the previous (Dom3) to get you a general idea of what it's like (Dom4 is an evolution of the same engine: oodles of new modding commands, QoL features, and general UI/balance improvements that the community has been wishlisting for, mostly cutting down on micromanagement and reducing the burdens of the previously potentially painful end game). http://lparchive.org/Dominions-3/Maybe I'll stop being lazy and plug it in the Sports & Games section when it's fully released, and/or attach a LP to it. This actually looks purdy dern cool. I love strategy games with some customization like this but all the cool ones seem to hate integrated graphics. It'll run abit more sluggish on integrated gfx (again, dedicated cards are love), but you'd just need to set the battle graphic details down a little. I'll probably end up doing some sort of TL LP/General Thread after the official release (those of us who've pre-ordered are in the process of beta testing the current version). Current thoughts on the matter is that they've cutting down on micromanagement (by reducing emphasis on the lategame and various interface/mechanics improvements, like removing the tax slider or adding an auto-recruit function), and made the initial hump to get into the game smaller by including (at least planning to include) preset pretender builds, while making several nice improvements to the AI for those whom aren't interested in PBEM (the main way the game is played, or fast Blitz Games via IRC). That, and they are no longer tied to the infamously terrible Shrapnel Games as a distributor (the pricing, the distribution model, the forums...ugh), so it should be much more accessible to a more casual audience.
It's the only game where you can, with a straight face, fight undead Jesus leading hordes of undead Romans with Cthulhu, or pit the Spanish Inquisition (no one expects) against magical Chinese bureaucrats. Or hire Frodo Boggit, the Hoburg Champion as a mercenary. Or have werewolves fight vampires (except better than Twilight).
It's what you expect when you get a pair of indie devs whom play too much D&D (they use to have their D&D party as an Easter Egg in Dom2+3, haven't seen Bogus&co in Dom4 yet), and one of whom has a degree in (and teaches?) World Religions/Mythologies.

No other community website/forum has kept me this active for this long (Been a member of SRK for longer than 5 years, but I'm nowhere near as active on that as I am here on TL).
Just wanted to say I probably wouldn't be nearly as active on TL post-BW era if it wasn't for LoL sub forums! ^_^ hi5

Wow. And its been 4 years for me. Time really does fly. It seems like just yesterday that I was lurking for about 6 months before I signed up.

4 years for me... crazy.
Although I think I was an active member of RunescapeCommunity for longer HAHA.

Wow I can't believe I've actually been TL registered for a full 6 years.
Not that I was part of the community or anything for more than the past year and a half or so I've spent in TL LoL. That's why I have a 1 post per day average that I've only gained in the last few months. >_<
Also, just beat Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Good game... they're like watching a long action movie: easy, goofy, fun, and only occasionally frustrating.

Newegg is the best. Gotta get on there for a webcam so I can start streaming like a Silver boss.

I just grabbed a ~$40 logitech webcam from walmart while I was there shopping the other day. As far as I can tell, it's working fine (although my MANY MANY stream viewers could say better than I could).
Picked up the nvidia 670 for $300 and it came with Batman Arkham Origins for free. Not a bad deal, imo.

I love newegg Newegg is pretty amazing. My last couple computer/periphery purchases from the past 3-4 years have all been Newegg. Sprinkled with some Amazon.

Amazon Prime was probably one of the best investments I've ever made, two day shipping too good.

It's almost easier than going to a store even if you know you could get it there lol. Need new shoelaces? Maybe I'll check Amazon first...

Been here for six years as well. I know that because I found TL basically on the same day SC2 was first announced back in 2007. I figured I ought to freshen up my Broodwar skills before the sequel hit.
Only took 3 years before the game actually came out.

As long as it actually runs. Games nowadays often fail to support integrated graphics at all (I'm looking at YOU, Magicka and Stardrive!), but I can understand chugging when my computer isn't necessarily the best (hello Natural Selection 2). Considering that the number of people who own laptops compared to desktops has been increasing for years I'm kinda surprised at the condescending attitude some gamers take towards laptops.
