This question is difficult to answer. The game is much more different due to a lot of their item/game play differences that I probably couldn't answer in a clear manner(mostly because I only understand very little about dota as well). I don't think it's a good question. Maybe pick a better question, and the more avid dota players will give better answers. There's just so many things that question can mean, and it's not easy to answer without looking at team compositions as a whole.

Just as more of a note, skywrath mage was a huge thing that teams seemed to be hiding for TI4. It doesn't mean the hero is completely broken(at least he doesn't seem completely bonkers that people are banning 100%), but it's very difficult to handle with certain combos(it seems). Same thing applies to certain bans like doom, which seem very strong, but not always banned. On the other hand, there is lycan, which all teams are banning as much as they can, which implies there is a problem there, and it has not been addressed. Either way, it's not really answering your question properly, because you probably won't see a lycan pick anyways.

Ferrari on DP was a waste, he should have been on something that could control the tempo of the game by roaming, not pushing towers. iG was also all-in on tower pushing, they could teamfight, and it was scary, but they got behind early and got crushed.

They still are really good lol. It's just when you get to the very top everyone can take games off each other. LGD got pretty much their dream lineup and showed why they are so good with it.

the newbie stream is pretty good at explaining what is going on, even if its not as hype as regular casters. Focus on watching the game and finding the heroes you think are fun to watch. dota is a game where a team can run any strategy as long as they draft into it well and execute it well.

IG were the winners of TI2. they are still a good team, this tournament are the top 8 teams. and LGD just outplayed iG that game. Na'vi just got eliminated earlier and this is the first international Na'vi didn't get to the grand finals. and they are still a scary team. there is a great parity between the top teams this year.

Yes, and they still are crazy good, but YYF and Faith decided to have an absolute shit game at a terrible time(and the draft was suspect). It happens, it just blows that it's in game 1 of the most important series of the year.

Isn't Bat super banned too? Iirc last year Bat+Wisp were picked or banned for every game but one, and had an insanely high winrate.

I don't think bat has been banned as much as doom, lycan, mirana, skywrath, and a few others. It was banned coming into ti4, but pretty sure it has not been picked as often since skywrath.

I think if you were to look at anything, void would be the most interesting selection.

Meta shifts, nerfs, plus people got more used to playing around Bat.

Icefrog wants to remove bat from the game, but can't it's hilarious. I'm pretty sure the last like 5 patches have had Bat nerfs.

Also, does anyone else find it funny that 7uckingmad, Bruno, and Godz are all in semi-formal/business casual and then we have 2GD in a hoodie.
