Evos over, there's no more world cup, The International group stage is boring today because Titan should crush Newbee and everyone else makes Key Arena. Were back to regular old summer TLLOLOTGD. | ||

The original Fire Emblem was on the NES, Ogre Battle didn't come out until a few years later on the SNES. There were a few other TRPG precursors on the NES, but FE has more recognition than the rest by this point. Though it should be noted that Fire Emblem is devoid of many common TRPG elements that are included in many other games in the genre--notably there's a lot less character building/customization and action/ability sets are far smaller--largely dictated by your items than by your character (class/character-specific abilities tend to be passive traits). The later entries in the series expand on this, but even FE:A lacks a lot of the character-building options present in a game like FFT. It just simply isn't the primary focus of the game. I never finished any of the touhou games apart from the fighters but that's because I'm bad, though (same with Hard mode campaign on Advance Wars 2). | ||
