As someone just giving out tips, going to New Londo now wouldn't be terribly difficult, but you don't have the Firelink Shrine bonfire up still, so it would be a huge hassle (there are no bonfires in New Londo). Valley of Drake stuff is extra stuff you can do later. Darkroot Forest extra stuff is the DLC. So technically it doesn't really matter, but its stuff I'd advise you go back to eventually (Valley/Darkroot).

Yeah Anor Londo is by far one of the coolest parts of the game. I totally suggest going there as soon as possible. There's not a lot to do right now in New Londo. Darkroot is pretty cool, I guess you could do that if you wanted. You might find it fairly difficult as you are now though.
