Control Shaman and Druid fare pretty well form what I've seen.
I got to play about 10 games of PM. By the end I could tech and l cancel 95% of the time. Short hopping is so much harder on PS3 controller. I am incredibly rusty and DI is so hard. Peach is so floaty compared to melee. I am picking G&W right double sausage short hop is pretty freaking strong approach.

Peach in general isn't as strong in P:M because all of the floaty characters are actually good (as opposed to in Melee)
I'm salty, all the manga I'm reading are turning to shit, aside from Magician and ToG, and only ToG is on a weekly schedule :/ Naruto is going as close to becoming Dragon Ball as it can without invoking the Almighty Balls of the Dragon to revive the dead, Bleach is I don't even know, the newest Steinritter is the weirdest yet. OP is OK still I guess, this arc is almost over though, so that'll slow down shortly as well. Avoiding major spoilers is fucking hard btw, 3~ week warning-ish if you aren't caught up.
Knight Run is weird and confusing, second season just started so it's really disjointed right now. I'm up to the Chimera Ant arc in HxH re-read, and I don't really like this part, so I don't really want to continue reading it....
Why, oh, why can I not just jump into a future where not only Berserk is finished, but Akame ga KILL and Zero are finished...Maybe I'll actually just have to read Kill la Kill, Lessa, and Noblesse...
Does anyone have any must-read manga? I generally like Seinen/shounen that focus more on plot/drama and fights as opposed to slice of life and comedy, but at this point, I'm willing to break the mold.

Yea I'm more confused at what Balrog they were referring to exactly.
Would I disappoint many people if I said I thought the first LoTR was ridiculously boring/drawn out, while I thought the 2nd movie was great simply for the epic battle scene at the end?

Both, I would prefer completed, but if it's completed I'll end up binge reading it this weekend if my buddies don't drag me into dota matches lol.

I heard good things about Holyland, I might be confusing Breaker and Sun Ken Rock, but the premise is similar in those two, no? I'll look into Gamer as well I guess, one of my friends likes it, but this is the same guy that refuses to read ToG, but loved GoH and a few others I showed him.
Sunken rock is more of a comedy with action/drama, the breaker is more action/drama with comedy. Read new waves after the original as new waves is much much worse.
Blood and Steel and Feng shen Ji are good but might be slightly to heavy to read.

Maybe I should just play more League or Dota...

battle shonen/seinen that i think match well against those listed (breaker and the gamer are good recs, holyland as well but a bit iffier) are
veritas [completed, but ending was very rushed due to budget constraints] tokyo ghoul [ongoing] ajin [ongoing] feng shen ji [ongoing] blood and steel [ongoing] zetman [ongoing] vinland saga [ongoing] onepunch man [ongoing]
and many others i'd be happy to list, but these are the first that come to mind. i'm assuming other very well known manga like claymore and snk don't need mentioning

Burn mage does well against handlock, as long as you have some early aggro.
You can prob tailor a priest deck that wrecks it too.
