One of my white friends is into this manga (Japanese comic) called One Piece, so I bought him a hoodie with a One Piece character (Chopper) on it when I went to Japan.
He'll wear it except when we go to a place that would be predominantly Asian, like an Asian restaurant/plaza or a boba place or something because then he feels like the white guy trying to be Asian, lol.
I was going to bring up something about how white people are into anime/manga too, but then I remembered Cheep's post:

Sort of yes. The correct way to write it is "Shōnen" so the u is more for pronounciation-ish reasons. Both forms are fine in writing.

Psyren is more of a Seinen though, way darker, more "adult" themes, i.e. psychological trauma and the like. Still an amazing series, but it's very different than Bleach/Naruto/One Piece in tone, more along the lines of Gantz before that went to shit.
Vinland Saga is a great Shounen/Seinen series, starts out really freaking awesome, then it kinda tones down, not sure where it's heading currently, I lost interest during it's latest arc, but I'll probably re-read it again since the first arc or so is bloody as hell.
