It crashed at the news of Mt.Gox (which apparently initially stood for Magic The Gathering Online eXchange, RIP Wizards of the Coast), a major bitcoin exchange, basically ran out of bitcoins because of double spending, and are now...temporarily shutting down (or permanently, we'll see). So you basically just had a bank run. | ||
