It's just fun to watch because he plays a great selection of video game music in the background, and there's some funny shit like Koopa Troopa which is a total garbage character with terrible AI, but has Akuma's Raging Demon as a super, and it's a one-hit KO, and he only busts it out every couple of matches. There's also some ridiculously overpowered characters with fantastic AI, and watching them fight is actually incredibly interesting. Lots of throwaway garbage matches and lots of god-awful twitch chat memes, but it's still a great time killer and some of the work people have put into characters for the engine is obvious. There are some truly scary motherfucking characters on that engine. There's a lot of characters on his roster that have terrible AI but some crazy abilities, like Simba (from the SNES Lion King game) is a character, he has awful moves and is quite slow, and his AI is very passive, but he has summons that appear sometimes and he gets the odd upset. There's characters I have straight-up never seen lose a single time (Master Sakura, the real Shin Gouki, Ramon 71113), so watching two of those fight is always cool. Anyway, gonna try to make it for some inhouses today, looking forward to it. | ||
