Maru playing terrible today. His reaction speed to runbys are slow. Even when it finally started to click for him in game 5, Shin was telegraphing his nidus spam and Maru refused to use his bank to make a few turrets around the main and expansion. He was definitely off today, you saw it in game 1 when he lost that 3rd CC die to lings rather than lifting it off.

Grats to Shin, rooting for hero to crush him though.

Getting behind early really made it difficult for Maru to respond aggressively the whole game, the few moments he did stretched him thin and it actually looked like when he broke that base in the top middle he got some momentum, but so many bases were denied by Shin and the production getting griefed was too much.

Before seeing Maru vs. Shin, I would have easily picked herO as my preferred winner of the finals... Protoss + I like his playstyle. After watching Maru vs. Shin... uh... can I root for both herO and Shin? I'd be super happy for Shin if he won.

Of course, herO had an army that Shin could never have beaten as long as herO takes a half-decent fight and so what herO does is he blindly blinks forward on creep into a hydra surround.
