that's whats baffling to me at times. Maru literally rolls over and dies to a basic roach attack by Serral, if any other Z did that , Maru probably just swaps it away like Clem does. I don't understand sometimes.

Clem is soooo fast. Every other terran? That's a dead medivac and marines. But Clem is just those few milliseconds faster and the medivac lives.

It's because Serral plays zerg in a very calm and collected way, he doesn't do much unexpected because he believes that if he's better than his opponent he will win a lot with his main style even if they know he's doing it. Reynor could do a bunch of things and is more unpredictable, so you have to account for more possibilities when playing against him. His playstyle is harder to counter for someone very good even though he is not as good at any style of play as Serral is at his main style of play.
I'm sure Serral developed this approach to the game when zerg was very overpowered, but it remains true today, he is much better than most people so he gets away with playing like this even though zerg is no longer OP; but when playing against someone who he isn't much better than, his playstyle becomes more of a hindrance.
