[WTL 2024] Summer Qualifier and Code A

WTL returns for its 2024 season.

Prize pool

Code A: ￥12,000 ($1,666)
Code S: ￥300,000 ($41,671) + additional crowdfunding contributions.

Sign-up

Teams must have a minimum of 3 players and a maximum of 10 players. Please download the sign-up form via this link (File - Download), and send completed sign-up form to scboydoll@126.com, titled "WTL 2024 Summer [team name]". Please also contain the following info in the email:

Team manager ID
Contact info (Discord)
Team Liquipedia page, if unavailable, please include team member SC2 ladder ranking screenshots.

Team coalitions are now allowed with the following limitations:

1. Coalitions can only be formed by two teams, additional teams are not allowed.
2. Current Code S teams are not allowed to form coalitions with another current Code S team. They are however, allowed to do so with teams outside of Code S.
3. Individual, free agent players can not be added to a coalition team, they must officially represent one of the teams.

Qualifiers will be WTL regular season format, single elimination, top 6 advance to Code A.

Code A consists of 6 qualifier teams and 2 invited teams:

Kwandong Freecs has forfeited their Code A participation.

Code A will be WTL regular season format, double elimination, top 2 advance to WTL Summer 2024 Code S.

Dates

Sign-up deadline: March 27
Qualifier: April 1-3
Code A: April 6-10, 12-13
Regular season: starts April 26 (tentative)

I fondly remember reading Nakajin's WTL 2023 Summer - Qualifiers Preview + Power Rank. I hope we can get an article like this again.

Curious to see what coalitions show up! Off the top of my head, Dark, Showtime, Heromarine, Spirit, Gumiho and Ragnarok are the strong players on one-person teams (maybe I'm forgetting some.)

Sort of expect Heromarine to play for Basilisk if Serral's military schedule doesn't let him play consistently. Dark would be a huge boost to any team, while Spirit/Showtime/Gumiho/Ragnarok would be great 3rd players on any team (and solid 2nd players on many.)
