If Oliveira has 1000 fans, I'm one of them. If Oliveira has 100 fans, I'm one of them. If Oliveira has 1 fan, I am that fan. If Oliveira has 0 fans, then I am no longer alive.

Insane mental and skills from Oli. Yep, Reynor looked genuinely confounded by game 4’s end. Perhaps in a B07 Reynor could have come back, but Oliveira looked to be the best player by far today, against the top players of each race.

So many players we wanted to lift the trophy it just feels like 1 global championship isn’t enough.

TIME was ranked as the worst player in Tier 4 in the power ranking, and here he is lifting the trophy after convincingly going through arguably the best zerg in the world, the best protoss in the world and the best terran in the world. I remember when Has cheesed himself to the 2018 WCS Valencia finals and that was cool and all, but TIME's run here was nowhere near a fluke. I'm at a loss for words honestly, he literally went super saiyan after going down 2-0 to Reynor and didn't look back. If Oliveira has 1000 fans, I'm one of them. If Oliveira has 100 fans, I'm one of them. If Oliveira has 1 fan, I am that fan. If Oliveira has 0 fans, then I am no longer alive. Oh without question. When you take into account the context (strenght of opponents faced and straight up outplaying them as opposed to relying on cheese), it has to be considered one of the biggest all-time upset runs in esports history.

Anyway, I don't know if I managed to make anything resembling a point, but I just don't like seeing the players criticized. I would prefer a thousand comments complaining about balance than seeing a single comment criticizing the players. Especially after they've accomplished so much. Just qualifying for the world championship is an incredible achievement.

I think every time a player loses with a strategy it will look stupid, but if they had won we would think it was brilliant. For as long as I've watched Starcraft 2, Koreans have tended to choose aggressive strategies, even against players they are favored against. I don't know why that is, perhaps it's a remnant from the teamhouse days, as well as a result of the GSL format. Obviously it's not a universal rule, some players like Innovation and Stats were known for relying on their solid mechanics more than strategies. But I think in general Korean players seem more willing to do whatever it takes to win, without worrying whether they might look silly. Whether you win with a cheese or in a long game, a win is a win. When I think about sOs winning 3 championships by rushing tempest, cannon rushing, and building gateways in his opponent's base, it's clear he would have looked like an idiot if he hadn't won. People would have said, "why did he throw it all away with such dumb builds? What was he thinking!? You don't just cheese with $100,000 on the line." But he won, so he looks like a genius. Maru has won a lot of series by just saying F it, and building proxy rax every map. Anyway, I don't know if I managed to make anything resembling a point, but I just don't like seeing the players criticized. Just qualifying for the world championship is an incredible achievement. I see what you're saying but there's no universe in which flying a single loaded medivacs straight through the natural in enemy's cyclone range is the correct decision and you see from Maru's facial reactions he knew he fucked up

But just really curious my point is that chinese streaming numbers are largely not real China's streaming medias usually provide: ① the HOT VALUE based on a complex algorithm, (several million usually); ② the number of VIP VIEWERS, (tens of thousands usually), which is the exact number of paid-in-channel audiences. The total viewer number is usually several times of VIP VIEWERS.
