Solar can be really good at times but he always lacks something Clem was already taking good trades tho. I think it was still 50/50 before the pause. Solar was mining much more I would almost still give the edge to solar considering his resistance despite the big losses. But overall while terran on ping is considered harder, some of clem difficulties seem a bit to be a tilt question, even on ping it's rare to see a terran at this level missing a pick up. Anyway his super dynamic style must suffer more than other player in these conditions. Have you seen Bunny vs Serral? You could see the ping in many exchanges. But since Katowice is held offline, we will have an incredibly hype event, I got the chills thinking about it Maru looked phenomenal today, maybe he can win the whole thing if Clem takes care of Serral / Reynor
I've seen it and while ping has an impact, to me bunny was just outclassed.
Some players just get used to it way more, Cure, Zest won some eu cup while beating dudes like lambo, gabe, on war3, happy was playing on 180 against 30 vs the best asian players (120, focus, th000) and was doing pretty well despite his complains on the matter. Obviously this is not ideal but players can adapt. Lambo while playing zerg had trouble to deal with pings too, I don't know if that's still the case, considering his last results, I'd say no.
But overall as you said, kato offline will be amazing and will provide fairer conditions.
Anyway, looking forward what reynor has to show !

Some better than others, style comes into it too, and some are just more adaptable than others.
Clem’s entire TvZ style is basically grinding down his opponents by his micro giving him marginal trade advantages over and over again that other players just can’t pull off that consistently. He’s still great with higher ping too, but if there’s a player whose style benefits from low ping in the scene more than Clem I’m at a loss as to who it would be.
Some players can play the three weekly cups no both and show up the next day and play well at a big tourney, get on a plane and play an offline event on different gear and do well. Some are more sensitive to sub-optimal conditions.
Kato offline should be insane, hypeeeee. Aside from finally having a tournament without the ping factor, just be nice to have the players actually there in person and all that good stuff.

The next level of excuse is that in the online era players have become so accustomed to higher pings that it throws their game off to play on lower latency.

Anybody might know that kind of form Reynor is in right now? How much has he practiced since coming back from vacation?

The playoff bracket will likely look really good for Clem as there could be as many as four Z in there. Zest and Maru being the really difficult T/P players for him. Not saying Reynor, Serral, Rogue and Dark would be too easy, but better than korean T/P.

As much as I want to see Rogue win everything he enters, it would be amazing if we had Clem win something big outside of Europe.

Cure looks pretty bad at mech. The widow mine drops were good though, I think if he committed heavily to widow mine drops while going bio he'd have a good chance (iirc that's what he did in King of Battles where he beat both Serral and Reynor.)

Reynor stayed on 1/2 upgrades ling/bane only and Cure held on long enough to win a decisive fight with a big marauder/marine army.
