Maru is just always ahead macro wise. He stopped producing much around 170 supplies and added a lot of CC/starports, started building some cyclones to secure even more bases and took them way before SpeCial.
Then, while mining a little bit more he started pressuring SpeCial new bases, building raven / Vikings to counter the BCs from SpeCial :x.
It’s impressive how easy he makes it look like

Still. I think Tosses do too well on STs usually, only for majority of the Tosses to die before reaching the semis or the quarterfinals of a GSL.

The problem is PvP is probably his weakest match-up. And current PvP isn't quite the meme-PvP of old, where anything can happen—it's become relatively stable in terms of good players generally winning. It seems highly unlikely that Trap could drop a BO7 to anyone, barring some non-game related mental collapse.

Zoun PvP is not consistently strong neither, he lost 0-2 to Patience in WTL last week, so I would give sOs a good chance against him. As for Trap, not sure if losing that way to Maru in the code S still affect his psyche, and while he did 3-0 Bunny, it wasnt a straight up dominance, and I think Maru is a much better TvP than Bunny.
