Yes it is. It doesn't have the same prestige but the games are equally seriously played and the format is better.
For some reason people think your tournament isn't serious because they see pros and casters drinking late into the night. Would be really funny if those same people knew this happens at other offline tournaments too but its not streamed.

I think Rogue participated in HSC once (didn't noregret say he'd eat a shoe if Rogue didn't advance and then he failed to?) But yeah, HSC is a bit below GSL/Blizzcon/Katowice in terms of prestige, but I"d put it above or on par with basically any other tournament

Maru at the very least just seems to hate travel and basically won't travel unless it's the very biggest events. Also it's NarutO not TaKe on the TakeTV account.

Showtime rly seems to always struggle with mutas.

What's funny is that phoenix were supposed to be the counter for mutas, but you wouldn't be able to tell from this game lol

Missed games 1 and 2 of Showtime vs Serral. Anyone know how Showtime managed to take 2 games off of Serral? Were they just all ins?

No, it was the first HSC won by Serral.

Missed the first game, second game Serral tried really hard to end it before late game and he failed and got too far behind.

I missed the first two games - how did Showtime manage to take 2 games off of Serral?

of course. Rogue goes out in the groups and "didn't care". I was there. He was insanely disappointed. He CARED and you could tell even from his face on cam.

GSL is lacking Reynor, Serral for example. Worldclass players. With your arguments, GSL is not a premier tournament.

I think the players always care during the games and tournament itself. These guys are all competitive afterall and losing at SC2 always sucks no matter how much money you've made and how much is on the line. I'm not the person you quoted but personally what I mean when I say Koreans didn't care as much about an event is they weren't putting in 40+hours of practice per week leading up to the event. They are definitely doing that before Blizzcon/IEM/WESG and they're always prepping for GSL. I personally doubt Rogue was playing SC2 much for a HSC that happened about a month after Blizzcon but I could be wrong.

I can tell you what they do. They arrive first, they setup first. They play THE WHOLE DAY. + Customs. They do prepare, they care. There was a circle of Koreans to beat Serral x_X
