This was pretty much the same for TSL and a lot of other events like this no? Nothing new,

At this point, why haven't anyone do a crowdfunding or patreon for Serral vs Maru BO7 or BO9 ? If the money is big enough, I'm sure they both would agree to do the match.

Maru only plays the biggest of the biggest tournaments. You will need insane amounts of money for him to play a showmatch....

Douyu Cup 1st price is around 7k. It's a fully stacked tournament. Serral is in it. Maru wanted to join the tournament. If everyone chip in $10, 20 50, I'm pretty sure it would reach $3k-5k. I think that's big enough money for a BO7 or BO9 for them to be interested. Someone like Wardi can probably set it up.

it would still be discarded by almost everyone since its not GSL. This match has lost its point long time ago

It's not about the money only, it's also got to be offline.

Its going to happen next year guys, when both of them peak again

Other than that the production seems to avoid the topic not to kill the hype I guess. The casters are probably told not to highlight any shitty conditions that might effect the players. Also they probably get paid extra to hype up foreign players so there's that NEver thought they would be payed for this, I always thought they do it on their own, hmmm. I wonder where's the truth.
It's pretty bad that anyone believes this even a little bit. /: No, we do not get paid to do anything except show up and cast or host.

What was the logic here, I can't make sense of it. In GSL it's clear, A1 - B2, B1 - A2, mirrors.
It's a random draw. 1st place finishers against 2nd place.

Common now we are on to you, we now theres a secret lobby that controls the Starcraft scene, it makes casters hype up the foreigners, it makes Maru dodge Serral and its the responsible for finals always being worst than semis.

It would make more sense to wonder if you guys get paid to write all this senselessness here on TL.

Ah yes, welcome to 2020, where people are free to say utterly ridiculous things with no merit because feelings.

So I don't think Trap has a chance against Reynor tomorrow? Same for PartinG vs Serral, even though Serral doesn't look as dominant as before.

As a Trap fan and having close to zero expectation of him ever winning a PvZ series in this meta with a top Z player it’ll be all the sweeter when he does win one.

Everyone keeps sleeping on DPG Cure. The kid just straight outclassed Maru in TvT.
Praise be owed to the new maps being played across Dreamhack. This is far and away the best TvT meta specifically I have ever witnessed. Cure made Bio - Raven TvT beautiful.

He also got a 4-3 against INno to reach the GSL finals. Didn't stop him from getting dumped on 4-0 in the TvT finals. I see him as a kind of minor upgrade from someone like Curious - the eternal gatekeeper separating the low tier of tip-top players from the rest of the world. I don't think anyone is "sleeping" on him like he's secretly the best player in the world that's going to win the global finals, despite his more recent deeper runs.

So far EU vs KR is 16-12. Surely EU is the strongest region?

Cure's shown good TvT, but Serral's not Terran. How's his TvZ?
EDIT: Writing this out, turns out Serral is pretty close to being Terran though. The 'S' is one letter off, and the 'L' two. Amusing.

That's completely wrong.
Cure has been B tier for years but now he's a top player and he's adding offline results to his online dominance started last year; you should rate him as high as Inno or Trap.
The question is if he can stop Serral and Reynor after Maru, Inno and TY failed to do so.
