Depends how the maps will be handled considering Cyber Forest and Acropolis :/
I hope Maru will find his mojo, but at this time it doesn't seem good for JAGW.

Thus said, TORILLE! I'm going to the market place alone and I'm not in Finland.
To all the haters: you deserve to witness many, many more Serral victories, worthy of the godlike player he is. I agree he played a great tournament. But so did Serral. He looked a bit shakey in ZvP, and maybe got lucky that Stats and Zest got dropped down and he didn't have to face them in the knockout stage. But his ZvZ was otherworldly and both the series vs TY were great.
Man, his ZvZ looked as sharp as ever, he 3-0ed soO in such a dominant fashion it seemed like his BlizzCon version was back. I actually wanted to see Serral vs Zest but the rematch against TY did not disappoint.

TY was great! (Actual games 3-3) Wouldn't been too bad if he would've win this...
I still cannot grasp how Serral can have so big balls and mental control under stressful situations. Clutch! o_O
The last game was most entertaining. Worthy finale.

Well played TY, grats Serral. Also shoutout to Zest for the most entertaining games

So .... that was pretty clear to me that I was watching the strongest zerg on earth. He made zerg look unfair and broken in two games, against one of the terrans gods.
Glad that I haven't been sipping the fanboy tea. This dude is a monster.

Little too close but great win by Serral!

Great Tournament,thanks alot!!

Feels like TY is a lot weaker than Inno in the late game ZvT. He never really traded super well in late game except for the ultralisk game but I feel like that style isn't super good.

So who do you all think will beat Serral in the power rankings next month? It's tradition at this point

At this point all top tier korean pros seem to be super out of shape, including Maru, and have been there for a while with sudden spikes of good play. Probably because there is someone to measure their stability against. Dark? Classic? Maru was at the top for over a year, Dark is stable for ages, similarly Classic.
It's not like there's no one, but it's harder to be stable in a harsher environment. The 2018 for Inno was weird, but now he appears to be in the stable mode again. What is more worrisome are the deep falls of some players(e.g. Rogue). Maru isn't playing much to judge his form per se, sadly.

Yup, can't get why, he's IMO better than Inno mechanically.

Dunno if it's serious but nah Gsl wins + 2 blizzcon finals with one in a shitty meta trumps it + his unique style

Nah they’ve been losing quite a lot of series randomly, this is not even close to being stable. Maru had a solid run in 2018, but that was 6 months ago and since then he played a few of really sloppy games.

Meomaika is a very respectable loss, can't fault Maru for that.

Serral just got demolished by stats and lost a series to neeb at wesg. Serral lost a premier tournament to reynor.
Edit Forgot about soo at iem and innovation x2

That's a really high standard for stable imo.

Edit Forgot about soo at iem and innovation x2 Stats and Neeb has the best PvZ's in the world, Inno is a beast when he decides to be one, soO's win was foretold in Ancient Egyptian and Chinese times, and predicted in the Inca and Mayan cultures and Reynor was, well, vengeful... Now Serral wins two tournaments in a row, so yeah

I think based off of this, Serral or Dark might be the favourite in GSL vs the World.

Happy in wgl Serral at hsc Nice day !
|
Don't you guys remember that even the most dominating players used to lose series quite often or perform badly at tournaments sometimes? The opposite is actually the exception for Sc2.
And yes, Happy in Wc3 plus Serral in HSC, such a fine day for western RTS!
