The HSC tie changes everything. Serral is not the best foreigener ever anymore

He has had insane runs versus great players that were supposed to be better than him, he even destroyed sOs just some weeks ago.
He just happens to have soO levels of choking when it comes to games that matter. Dude is an absolute beast that simply flops whenever he is about to achieve something.

Neeb would have probably been at least even. You really think so? I mean neither Stats nor Classic did look great against Serral. Serral isn't quite playing on the level he did at blizzcon. And Neeb is very good at PvZ. Neeb did 3-0 Serral right before Blizzcon (though Serral was playing kinda weird to hide builds). He also beat him 2-0 at WeSG after. I stand by the idea that had Neeb actually played Serral in WCS last year he would have won at least half of them. His PvZ is world class and very good against Serral's style.
In 2018, when Serral was unstoppable and Neeb underperforming? Serral wouldn't have lost once. Serral lost 0-3 an online series the week before BlizzCon where he would have played against sOs and Zest.
By the way, Special obviously isn't at TY's level in TvT but he was capable of beating him at BlizzCon in 2017; he knows him well and I could see him occasionally steal a bo3 win.

According to Liquipedia Serral’s now qualified for Blizzcon officially now?
Do the dates etc work out that he can have a crack at the next GSL season? I’m sure most fans would love to see it anyway, not sure how all the technicalities would work out.
Might be sacrificing some basically guaranteed money from WCS at this point sure, but surely getting Korean practice and hopefully actually playing in the GSL would be better prep to guarantee a bigger payday at Blizzcon?
I mean I favour it more for hype and being something fans want to see, but I do think it’ll maybe benefit Serral potentially.

I used to use add blocker on here a while ago but I've had it turned off for this site for a while now. Might look into it later.

WCS winners are authomatically qualified for BlizzCon, Serral could easily go to Korea and play in GSL(not sure if he could play HSC as well, the date of Code S S3 qualifier is not known yet). The real question is if he wants to.

He said that before qualifying for BlizzCon this year, he previously said he would have liked to get back to Korea and that he wouldn't have excluded the idea to play in GSL one day; people are not immutable, perspectives change with time. I think Serral has already dominated WCS enough, he would have to go to Korea in August in any of case...one can dream.

damn what a brutal final but major got a good run tho since winning against neeb is a triumph

Pretty funny that Maru and Serral kept up their streaks into the new year. Maru's has ended, I wonder if Serral can keep his rolling next season >.>

Gz to serral though i want a neeb vs serral finals as this is a good matchup rather than special imo.
I think neeb prepares just for serral that he forgot that special's tvp is korean level.

Maybe, Special is indeed prone to chocking. Or maybe, Serral is just on another level. It felt like he stepped it up quite a bit from his WCS Winter performance. And there is of course his recent mmr record:

Welp, after Neeb was knocked out it pretty much robbed us of a competitive finals imo. Congrats to Serral and to Special for making it to the finals.

Yeah, Serral vs Neeb and Maru vs Serral just keep getting sabotaged. Extra disappointing that it was an scv+marine allin in g5. Not to say it wasnt a well fought semifinal by Special or didnt deserve 2nd place, his TvP and TvT are very good, he probably wasnt practicing vZ at all for the past month

If the Qualifier for GSL S3 are right before or after GSL v World, he might just go for it. Fingers crossed
