If Leenock is out, any chance they can bring Stats and Zest instead of a DQ?

It's theoretically possible, but it seems a bit unfair to cut down so much on their practice time on such short notice.

How can you beat the best lategame player of all time of all RTS games in longer games?

You guys forget that Rogue is the best lategame Zerg out there.
Still think Neeb can beat him there.

Ether way,
Neeb 3-1 Rogue
Leenock 1-3 TY

Neeb has not lost PvZ's lately at all (he did lose 0-3 to Scarlett in MC S3 but then sweeped her 4-0 in WCS NA Challenger, so 4-3 which is still a win overall in my book), so I think he got this against Rogue.
If TY doesn't win against Leenock now when Leenock has health issues than TY just sucks balls.
No offense Leenock, but TY would be favored against you even if you didn't have health issues

Neeb & Leenock for hype.

Rogue & TY for reality.

I don't see much of a world where these matches aren't one-sided. Two arguably top 5 LotV players vs two guys most didn't expect to even make ro16. But TY can always throw a 2-0 lead and Rogue can always randomly play like shit, so maybe.

Neeb is the only foreigner in LotV to have taken multiple matches off of Rogue (he's lost matches here and there as well as maps, but none more than to Neeb). Rogue is 9-7 against Neeb and 3-3 in matches. If there's any foreigner aside from Serral who can give Rogue trouble, it's Neeb.

And Leenock...well he almost won against Maru. Don't know how he'll do now.

Also, in what world does Neeb not win against aLive and Losira?

Rogue wasn't good when they played at kespa cup. Neeb did beat him 2-1 at blizzcon but then went 0-4 against soO and Rogue right after. It seems Rogue realised if you don't let protoss get the best army in the game then you might win.

As far as leenock almost beating Maru, so did Zanster and Reynor. It may not mean as much as people think.

I think it means that Maru isn't invincible in TvZ.

Right, which is why most people are thinking Rogue cheeses Neeb or does some weird midgame push with like swarmhosts or something. Though to that lategame point, Rogue had gone lategame with Stats and won.

But that's why some people are saying if Neeb can make it to the late game, he has a chance.

Thing is, Maru in group stages is never invincible at anything. People doubted him in season one because he almost lost to Keen, and in season two because he almost lost to Patience and Zanster. Yet when he gets to the ro4/finals etc his play becomes almost flawless in comparison.

No its just that group stage games dont mean as much as 5 game and 7 game bracket series. Once you take this into account theres much more clarity on who the best players are.

By the way neeb beat scarlett in a series with no implications on 150ms. He lost to her on a very meaningful match at a LAN.

You are forgetting Flash, among others. Rogue is better at lategame than Neeb though, you're right.

No they do not. And Fango specifically mentioned Maru and that he had looked not so solid against Patience and Zanster but went on to defeat Classic and Rogue the best in their races respectively. Which other terran have you seen get to Ro4 and above with this consistency?

On another note if you watch the games themselves there is a world of a difference in Maru's play and his victories in playoffs which is because of overall a lot stronger solid play, BoX planning mixing in/faking cheese, reacting to him getting cheesed etc. In comparison his play in the group stages almost looks like he freestyles and makes decisions on the fly.

He almost lost to leenock because:

Game 1: He killed leenock straight up with his 2-1-1 2 Tank timing
Game 2: He stubbornly did the exact same build game 2 which leenock shut down and won in the lategame
Game 3: Leenock went for roach ravagers which Maru probably did not scout early enough and barely defended with Leenock making some mistakes as well

That was the sequence of events and thus Maru's not invincible for sure but thats the level of his dominance that we have to nitpick the manner in which hes winning.
The Terran Prince is now the king. Maru | MMA | Mvp forever

No he's not, Rogue has never beaten Neeb if the game goes past the mid game. He only beats Neeb by cheesing or all-ins.

If Rouge beats Neeb here would this be his first time in the GSL semifinals? Kinda crazy with all the success he's had over the past few years that he has yet to beat that curse.

Ah you're right, Reynor and Zanster are almost as good as Maru because they almost beat him.
Patience is much better than Zest because he put up much more of a fight against Maru.
Leenock is a much better lategame player than Maru because he beat him in the one long game.
My bad, I should've realized that.
