Honestly, simcity isn't as good against ultras as it used to be. They can tank so much now that there's time for the Zerg to kill parts of the simcity before losing the ultras. Better hope you either have a good liberator count or a bunch of thors (or a lot of tanks) when ultras get plating.

Mech was the better way to win. If ultras get nerfed there's better ways to win for Terran than to drag the game out for 40 minutes and meticulously control ghosts.

I think terran midgame is too strong and zerg late game (mostly ultras) is too strong. Right now it somehow balances out because T gets ahead or can outright kill Z befre Ultras, but I think 1 less armor on ultras would be good for the game. You can look into nerfing terran midgame from there if it's needed, but it should be fine.

I mean LBM is a thing now, it's just different. You no longer want to get to 40 mutas which I consider good for the game. You get the first 10 and then get corruptors vs the Liberators while teching to ultras. In HotS we saw LBM all game long, now the goal is to get ultras out fast and use the mutas to defend.

Oh yeah I don't expect KT to start fielding him in PL. That's why I hope he can do well here and prove himself. Since Losira isn't turning out as well as I had hoped we need a 4th player for PL still. Leenock and Jjakji are... eh so far.

Not exactly true, it was good in defending early marine pushes and zergling rushes(with wall). It survived really lot. With stim it changed

Solar plays almost every online tournament, he's always an extra risk in Proleague because finding snipe builds for him is easier than for others. Plus early 2015 he just played like shit in PL.

The shot is actually so strong that it leaves a giant, unpathable crater on the map so you can make mineral lines unmineable with lib harass.

We should just make terran units realistic, siege tanks should be able to hit the enemy mineral line. Banshees should have AA missiles and carry warheads.

The shot is actually so strong that it leaves a giant, unpathable crater on the map so you can make mineral lines unmineable with lib harass.

to be fair, it's a rather unappealing ro32 group vs ro8 of IEM. i'm still watching GSL now and switching after Classic wins, but still.

the maurauders lies down on his back to shoot up. but he can't get back on his feet without a medivac.
SpeeD is playing pretty well but I don't think he should have tried pushing into the 3rd. Also he fucking scanned the stasis ward and still ran into it.

Classic, who was not at his top, was one bad wall away from defeating Solar, an absolute muderer of Protosses, his game one for instance was really encouraging for late game PvZ.
If you really look at last weeks of korean scene you can see the meta evolving and see a trend where Protosses are defeating more and more Zergs.
On the other hand, Classic really looked unable to deal with liberators...

With that positioning he needed another answer than ground army. It's actually hilarious if you read that Avilo thread where he claims Protoss has good GtA.
Speed used liberators very well and he denied ground response. He played the map the best possible way, but showed how OP liberators can be when used properly on a map that allows such play.
And don't forget that accidental move of Phoenixes (that doom drop)
All in all, Speed played very well, Classic had bad luck and wasn't playing that well.
Honestly SpeeD overlapped his liberators far too much a bunch of times. And if Classic doesn't fight in the middle of the map for no reason in game 2, he probably wins 2-0.

Liberators covered the whole path to attack, in a way Speed created "force fields" in that place. And it worked (but yeah, that random attack in the middle of the map will haunt him)
I watched the games this morning, amazing SC2 day ! SpeeD really surprised me, it's cool to see some new blood even if it's at the expense of one of my favorite Protosses ever, Classic. But I think he still needs to find his rythm in LotV, he made a lot of mistakes and overall didn't deserve to advance even if he had a great opportunity on Orbital.

yeah a lot of cool stories in fact with him, Byun, Taeja, HerO... Not enough to counter act all the disbandings and retirements, but that's some light.
I'd say this is the first time I've actually laughed so hard I cried since the "one fish, two fish, red fish, blue TANK" moment. Tastosis absolutely killed it.

I had no clue! That's really interesting! Happy for SpeeD. I love Classic but he's won enough. Give ol' Rudy the underdog a chance.
