Looking forward to seeing Snute play, as always, but I'm really wondering if Bly and Rogue is going to go into some nether-realm of weird shit. It could just end up as ling/bling for all games, though.

central is 130-150 and west is 200~220, I don't know but this difference is huge for me :D on Central i don't mind the lag at all

bly totally had 70% of rogue's mutas cornered around 9:50, huge tactical blunder letting them all escape and agreeing to a split base-trade, amazing comeback by rogue from this point and on. but bly playing much better in the early game and midgame, great game imo.

For me it is the same ... after sOs, my favorite player is Rogue. Rogue is also my captain in FPL. But this is just a fun tournament, I believe, neither sOs, nor Rogue, nor Cure are taking this seriously ... they are sitting somewhere in an internet cafe and having fun ... doing funny things, laughing, not concentrating ... They have holiday season in Korea now, vacation from their team houses, on Monday is the new year. I do not think, Rogue would lose against Bly in a serious series on a real tournament. But Bly is really a difficult opponent, it would be very close ...

I would agree that this is his biggest weakness. You can see in 2015 Blizzcon how Rain exploited this with a vs reaper cheese on Coda to win their series 3-2 even though Polt was beating Rain in the late game.

Maybe. It's just that in theory you only need to have one unit in front of your main army and the ward will do nothing. It's easily countered i think. If you could use it offensively (like with the arbiter) that would be a completely different situation

He didn't have it easier than Cure and Cure failed. And Cure was supposed to be the better player here. Sure, sOs is by far the best player in the tournament, but he already dropped more maps to Ryung than anyone expected

I didn't watch the Cure vs Hyun. How did Hyun win those? Sometimes it's about experience against each other.

Usually, sOs outsmarts his opponents. A moment of shakiness and a game against sOs is lost. But Polt was too solid today and I believe, he is too solid generally to show some fear ... he does not fall for any pretended aggression. I believe, this type of player is the most unpleasant one for sOs. In the most series, sOs is setting the pace. In this final, Polt did not let him set any pace. He was setting it.
Of course, it does not change anything on the fact that while sOs is able to beat 80% of top players in the world, Polt would be able to beat maybe 40% of them. But well played Polt! He is a solid player and today, he was too solid.

I think that regardless of form, Polt's mentality is weirdly counters Sos's playstyle. Sos is all about getting into players heads and hiding builds and intentions, but Polt's biggest strengths are his intelligence and his level-headedness. Tbh i still think Sos is the better player overall, but Polt's intelligence is a kryptonite to him

Don't be a jerk and read my post once more! Nobody is making excuses. I was writing yesterday that Polt was exactly the type of opponent, sOs is not playing well against.
I am just surprised, he agreed to participate in an online tournament, which was finishing at 3 a.m. on new year's day. Probably, he expected, it would be over before midnight. But it was not. So it is nice of him to participate and play at all. I would not be surprised if some other Koreans preferred to go out than to win a quarterfinal ...
