Senseless bashing of foreigners and WCS game quality is not permitted today. Criticism is fine, but let's not repeat yesterday's mess. Games can be enjoyed without the presence of constant vitriol. 14:18 GMT (+00:00) Edit: This is your friendly reminder that whining about Protoss is an old and tired thing. Don't. -Zealously |

It's not like I was stating that George W Bush died in 1999 which is factually false.

You don't understand man, it's totally Lilbow's fault there weren't herO, Zest, INnoVation and ByuL participating in this tournament. ahah ofc not, but calling this the hardest tournament ever is just fraudulent. Say that after he wins Blizzcon. I don't think anybody here called that the hardest tournament ever, except the same people who try to mock those who are happy for Lilbow? didn't the host say that ? No. He was saying something about the path Lilbow took to get to the final was the hardest. If you view this in the context of this tournament I'd definitely agree with that. Either way no one said anything about the tournament itself being the hardest. ok fair enough then

blizzcon isn't supposed to have the 16 best player of earth at the first place, it's a end year tournament where the champions of all of the regions (korea, wcs) meet (like the world cup)
if you watch SSL, GSL and proleague on a daily basis this is where you can watch the 16 best player of the world all year long

Played muchhhhh better in PL this year than any previous year and was consistently strong. It's easy to look at his results in GSL and act like he isn't good but come on
Haven't you learned by now? Only GSL counts for anything.

So what situations happen for lilbow to not make it, since it is 99.99%? Just curious.

There is no consensus in the community on what Blizzcon should be, but I still have trouble understanding why people want to apply their own standards for a grand slam tournament. Blizzard has made it clear what they want out of Blizzcon and, as far as I can tell, they've achieved that and are happy with the result.

Break his arm while biking. nah there is some scenario with Gumiho/Dear winning GSL, Dark and Hyun coming to DH, something along those lines, but it's so unlikely I don't even know why we should talk about it. Lilbow is set for Blizzcon.

Tbh you've more than 16 players who've been great this year and almost noone have been really consistent the whole season. The quality of the games is the more important thing and I hope that the 3 WCS players will at least put a fight to avoid 2/3 shitty series in the ro16.

He's going to get 0-3'd so hardcore at Blizzcon though Things will be unbearable if he actually does well at blizzcon. He has a decent shot imo. Anyone except Inno/Maru/Parting/Zest is beatable by him add herO to the list. and Rogue, and Byul, and anyone except Polt/Hydra, man are you serious ? Even FanTaSy would wipe the floor with him if he plays seriously. Fanta is shit tier so is MarineKing lol and he lost 2-1 in close games. Being 100% sure you won't lose to someone requires to be so much ahead of him. Lilbow isn't a great player in the grand scheme of things but in a bo5 there is not many players I'd be 100% sure they're gonna win. sigh if he was korean you would say he is shit tier just like mkp How biased do you have to be to claim that because someone had close games vs mkp they have a snowballs chance in hell vs byul? You realise Byul is the top 1 zerg atm? Still not out of gsl and in ssl finals? Beat so many strong players to get there. But lilbow won vs mana and had close games vs marineking. you just don't understand the point i'm making. If lilbow was in Korea he'd be at best code A. There isn't a lot of players that I'd say are 100% invulnerable to code A players. You just need to look at PL to be sure of that with people like departure or panic getting good wins. And lilbow vZ is like his only chance at blizzcon atm. Yeah That's why I added a bit to my comment misread it sorry It's ofcourse possible for a code a/b player to beat a top kr player it happens all the times but it's extremely unlikely to happen in the biggest event of the year where everyone will prepare their best. I am specificly arguing that he won't win versus byul in blizzcon Byul has matured a lot from his suicide mutas days. Hydra, Life (really depends on what shape he shows up in) and fanta can lose to him and it will be a massive upset the others are in too good of a shape atm (granted someone may fall out of shape just before blizzcon or herO or rain can have a massively derpy pvp streak but it's unlikely) I am bad at expressing myself as always yes Lilbow can beat someone at blizzcon the chance always exists. Lilbow can also win the lottery.
