Senseless bashing of foreigners and WCS game quality is not permitted today. Criticism is fine, but let's not repeat yesterday's mess. Games can be enjoyed without the presence of constant vitriol. 14:18 GMT (+00:00) Edit: This is your friendly reminder that whining about Protoss is an old and tired thing. Don't. -Zealously |

Parting's PvP sucks. With good BO Lilbow could totally win that series. Life's on a quite a bit of a slump so he might have a shot at that? Obviously Maru's the worst draw. He wrecks protoss, and I think his wrists are better now. KT were considered slumping before today's R4 Finals, then they won the whole thing. People thought Life was pretty bad before Blizzcon last year, then he won that. I don't think Life's reluctance to work harder than he needs to affects Blizzcon: he will work his ass off for the chance at another WC title. KT won off TY and Zest who were the only players considered not slumping They won three bo7s in a row with wins from Life, Stats, TY and Zest. I think general consensus was that they were disfavored against both CJ and SKT. The point is that people look at how teams and players have played in the past and assume that rapid returns to form are out of the question, even when such returns have happened to the very same teams/players before. Predicting KT to be shut down by SKT is just as iffy as thinking a slumping 9-time premier champion wouldn't regain his edge in 8 weeks of concerted practice. Just a pet peeve.
Who would favour CJ over KT in allkill format? Definitely not people who know CJ Entus...

He's going to get 0-3'd so hardcore at Blizzcon though he could take games vs Life, he'll get trashed vs herO/PartinG or Maru though. He could take a game vs Life. Maybe. like sjow? Like Naniwa at IEM New York, where Life couldn't lose even though he tried I dunno man, that was an exiting match and a great tournament overall! Overconfidence cost Life a map or two perhaps, but it was a great final nevertheless I thought. It was a great end to a great tournament, and those two were my favorite players at the time, but one exception to the rule of Life usually making short work of all non-Scarlett foreigners does not equate to Life losing to Lilbow at the tournament he values the most
True enough, but he will have to work for it, or he'll have blinkstalkers everywhere.

Say that after he wins Blizzcon. I don't think anybody here called that the hardest tournament ever, except the same people who try to mock those who are happy for Lilbow? didn't the host say that ? Rotti said "Could it get any harder than that?" while listing off the players he beat but in hindsight he meant compared to the rest of WCS since Lilbow did play and beat most of the Koreans (not Polt though)

No. He was saying something about the path Lilbow took to get to the final was the hardest. If you view this in the context of this tournament I'd definitely agree with that. Either way no one said anything about the tournament itself being the hardest.

(Blizzcon has a bad tendency of half the field not being at the top of their game.)
Ro4 isn't impossible, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Not quite. Lilbow is a great foreigner, and probably the best in 2015, but there are quite a few other foreigners who have been far better than Lilbow over the years (and so would have taken the torch from Stephano long before Lilbow was even relevant). Naniwa, Scarlett, Snute, etc.

Naniwa definitely on Lilbow's level. Scarlett and Snute kept losing too many times to foreigners for me to put them on lilbow's level though. At their peak Scarlett and Snute are definitely above Lilbow but on average? Lilbow all the way

Even FanTaSy would wipe the floor with him if he plays seriously. Fanta is shit tier. Rogue and Byul are zergs and you can totally steal a bo5 in PvZ. Fantasy beats Rain on a regular basis. Fanta dies to stalkers on a regular basis too. His highs are pretty good but then he derps ultra hard.
that doesnt make him shit tier.

Yea, Lilbow did great these past months, but he has to prove some longevity if he wants to claim a spot in the list of greatest foreigners IMO.

ok, somewhere between top T and shit tier. Depending on the series. Seriously he's the most frustrating T to watch he has 0 consistency even in the same day.
