Is there a reason why HS tournaments are in the SC section on TL and reddit? =O

Damn, I didn't even notice that change At ASUS ROG Winter 2014 we had a two day tournament with the same format as now but with bo5 groups. We asked about it during the event from the players and many favored the bo3 groups if both group stages are played on the same day. No doubt two bo5 group stages can be a bit too much if many of the games go to 5 maps. Assembly Summer tournaments have been usually three days but since Hearthstone is now the bigger one it gets the 3 days and SC2 gets two days. Now with only a two day schedule, the bo3 groups were deemed a better choice.

This is pretty exciting! I'm sure Taeja is planning on winning it lol.

Well what about DH, I don't see how it's relevant to this thread. What about Gfinity, a brand new tournament circuit picking up sc2? Does that make up for no sc2 at DH summer? Is IEM still having sc2 in the next season a good sign for a 5 year old RTS? Is the Korean scene doing better than ever? I don't know, but this is not the place to discuss the general sc2 scene and whether it's dying or not, if you want to do that make a dedicated thread. But I think you should rather not, because it feels like we already had hundreds of those.
This OP says sc2 will be back at Asus Rog Summer with a 15k tournament. That's what this thread is about and I think it's great news.
Hear, hear.

It is a free to play game with very little complexity in it, of course that it is more popular. I have to disagree here! There are tons of easy shitty crappy free to play bullshit games out there that noone wants and noone plays. Though i like SC2 more, Hearthstone is a masterpiece! HS is a great game, but it is a really shitty esports. The only reason it sees so much tournaments because the game is very popular.

SC2 and HS on the same tournament? hell yeah, I'll tune in!

2 day actually works better for my schedule anyway :D

ASUS ROG is proud to present a special eSports event this summer, featuring two Blizzard titles and a total prize pool of $40,000 USD
As soon as i saw hearthstone i was getting ready to flip my desk in case the second game was heroes of the storm

I think people are upset because Hearthstone prize pool is bigger than sc2 prize pool. And we feel that sc2 takes more skill than hearthstone. But because hearthstone has more popularity it gets a larger prize pool as sponsors will gain more viewers watching it to see their ads.
Kind of the same same thing with LoL.

Sad day for Sc2.. but I guess we take what we get nowdays.

this message is to those that complain about Asus ROG and having no SC2 tournament last year + Show Spoiler +Asus ROG had a tournament last year guys, do you guys have a memory Block? Or are you all just stupid??? San won his only premier tournament there by 4-0'ing Dear, who was In Mouz you guys seriously need to stop giving this BS about SC2 being less important and stuff. MLG SC2 has been gone for almost 2 years, and it still organizes tournaments for other games, I didn't hear anybody complain about sc2 dying at that point, why now? You guys should be thankful that Asus ROG actually invested in a tournament for SC2. yay, meaning more content for you whining pigs Also What about Gfinity, a brand new tournament circuit picking up sc2? Does that make up for no sc2 at DH summer? Is IEM still having sc2 in the next season a good sign for a 5 year old RTS? Is the Korean scene doing better than ever? said in just words Musicus
