Actually, it would be quite amazing if the WCS finals were played like the snooker world championships. Multiple sessions, BO35 in the finals, the best player wins.

Chess world championship format would be fun too: Bo7 every day for 12 days. And that's just the finals.

That kind of matches lack of time to prepare for the players and the only factor thats important is mechanics and skill for improvisation.

Billard games with pockets are stupid anyway. Why would you want to cut holes into a table? Carambolage is where it's at!

Actually (for the finals at least) they have a ton of time to prepare, and often have a team of other top players to work out specific strategies.

But the Chess world championship also happens every few years, after which the defending champion has to play a challenger.
I don't know if I'd like to see that in SC or not.

The problem is that SC is changing too fast. Patches, metagame shits, etc. A player that wins the championship in one year might be much worse the year after.

I think playing BO7 would take a lot of time each day (if we also count the preparation time, breaks in between, etc.) and players would prefer to rest instead of preparing the series. Taking into account they will be playing 12 days.

it's so cool that is so close and the guys are taking this seriously unlike one of the Huk vs Idra showmatches where they just didn't give a fuck and only trolled

edit: or at least I think the other one was Idra. It was so long ago, maybe in 2012. But I do remember Huk trolling
