Maybe this was a rigged match just to promote aligulac

I made fun of Aligulac for predicting Hydra to reach the finals (and lose 2-4 to PartinG in the finals) and said "His ranking is inflated from him beating foreign scrubs". I took it back when Hydra reached the finals and lost 2-4 to PartinG.

But yeah, I was really impressed by that prediction.

On June 03 2015 15:34 sharkie wrote: how the heck can aligulac predict this bo69 so correctly o.o Actually, the number of games isn't too important. If Bunny gets a 66% chance of winning, Aligulac will always calculate a result according to that percentage, e.g. 2-1, 6-3, 24-12 and so on. Still cool to see that it predicted the correct end result, especially if you take into consideration how random lots of the games were. Of course, it's a coincidence, but it's a nice one.

It must be true.

Guys not so sure how seriously you are taking this, but aligulac only predicted the winner with a 60% certainty or something? And the result with a 5% certainty.
Saying that aligulac correctly predicted the highest probable outcome is a wrong observation. Because what aligulac pretty much said was "I have absolutely no idea what is going to happen this series." Because if the player with 60% chance won every time the machine would just be bad. For the machine to be good the favorite with 60% chance actually must lose the rest of the 40% of times.

For the machine to be good the favorite with 60% chance actually must lose the rest of the 40% of times. Indeed, in this case the result only had a 5% chance of being true. However, it was the most probable outcome which means: if we were to pick any result as our guess, it would have been that one.
Of course, this doesn't mean anything on its own and is merely an interesting observation.
