I'm surprised Parting would play for $75 prize money, though. He is a top-caliber SC2 player. Normally players of his level won't participate in tournaments with small prize pool.

Parting is very active on Twitter and with Showmatches, I think he wants to increase his popularity outside of Korea. He also isn't playing in Proleague at the moment. Still, a best of 7 for 75$/25$ is good money. Assuming Parting has a 80% chance of winning the Series, his expected return is 65$, and with a high likelihood of the Series not going the full 7 games, this would be a decent salary. If you think the most likely outcome is a 4:0, it makes this way more profitable for the Time investment, even.

PartinG isn't in a top KeSPA team though (not saying that yFW is bad whatsoever, just not under the same "level"), I don't think yoeFlash Wolves is as strict as SKT, KT, CJ, etc... with what the players do in their free time. They would even motivate PartinG to enter such tournaments to get more exposure in the western scene and probably try to get new sponsors.

Indepedent of hiding builds, I see no reason why getting some money from what is effectively practice is a problem.

I don't know, the DH9 change is supposed to be big, so experience here isn't really applicable to HOTS, but I guess it is still a mechanics exercise. I see that I can't change the quality of the stream, so I won't be able to watch it live without a delay every 10 seconds or so ![]() I hope the pregame interview and the postgame interview will be up at youtube as well.

I tune into a stream with worse audio issues than NASL... the hype died fast.
