I will dispute that claim till my dying day

I mean he made the best zerg build ever, roach max.

also I meant popularize, not invent. DH Stockholm was like 1st HotS tournament after IEM? And Jaedong was already spamming 3hatch before pool (I'm very well aware it's an old build). And he was doing all that stuff that often looked stupid as shit but when it worked it was the coolest. I just really liked the way he played.

I'm kinda torn, very happy Jaedong is playing again, but on the other hand the LRs are now back to this...

Life is one of the greatest of all time. If Hydra gave his mojo to Jaedong in BW, Id expect Jaedong to slump then too. They are just in different tiers of players.

Yeah right now there is no doubt about that I agree. But it kinda feels like nobody sees what Jaedong already did in sc2, when for every other player his achievements would be huge.

He also gets way more fan hype based on his legacy for lesser results than most players in sc2. It goes both ways. That particular fact is why I usually cheer against him

It kind of weirds me out that your feelings for a player are affected by his fans haha
I am extremely indiffrent towards Jaedong btw he is before my time.

He wins a game: "THE TYRANT IS BACK FGHSUAJKLJ"
He loses a game: "I hope his condition is okay the tyrant shall return he must be tired etc"
It goes on and on and gets annoying. Leenock for example has done way more in sc2 but gets not nearly the credit

That's kinda what fans do though dude
To all the haters: you deserve to witness many, many more Serral victories, worthy of the godlike player he is.

Nestea is the only person to have done that in almost any esport. He's an exception of the exceptions.

Boxer wasn't exactly young when he was good as well, though.

Boxer in SC1? He was 23 or 24. In SC2 he was never that good.

I'd actually expect Life to slump if he was given mojo from Jaedong.

You have to admit it's more pronounced with players like Flash, Scarlett, JD, Naniwa, etc

Well yeah. But that happens when you have a large and loud fanbase
To all the haters: you deserve to witness many, many more Serral victories, worthy of the godlike player he is.

Three Hatch before Pool is an adaptation of an old BW strat anyways, but Jaedong was not the first person to use it in SC2. Stephano and DRG did it before Jaedong if I remember correctly.

Stephano, the greatest innovator Zerg ever had

I will dispute that claim till my dying day

How though? To me it looks like claiming that Mvp isn't the greatest innovator Terran ever had.

Imo Nestea did more for zerg. He was the first one that delayed lair and just droned up.

Heart has superb bio TvZ. JD never stood a chance

Suprised anyone thought he did He gave all of his mojo to Life after all.

Jaedong has never had as much mojo as Life.

I'd actually expect Life to slump if he was given mojo from Jaedong.

You are right, but I bet you also agree that being a second best player in SC1 and achieve so comparably little in SC2 makes his fans sad.
